Its one of those perfect game pass games. The only real issue Ive had is how long it takes to actually get into a lobby and then how long to start the game after that.

I've been playing off and on since it was released. It's very fun, it offers an alternative to Dead by Daylight and it plays nothing like Dead by Daylight.

All victims have unique abilities, you can level up the abilities and get skill points to level up stats.

No two matches felt the same to me.

Neither side seems OP at all in my opinion.

DBD fanboys need to stop comparing the two games because they're nothing alike.

It sorta plays like Friday the 13th but also very different too.

Its nice to have different objectives. I like how you have multiple ways to escape and the killers can do things like give blood to grandpa instead of just needing to always be hunting the victims.

I'm having a lot of fun as victim. Yeah, every game is different in a way DBD is just not.

Gonna try and play it today. I enjoyed playing Friday The 13th.

It plays nothing like DBD so I think you'll enjoy it.

I still have no idea how to actually escape but it's a very tense game. Trying to dodge the killers using stealth is a nice breath of fresh air. Almost reminds me of the splinter cell multiplayer in that sense

Right now Connie is the key to matches, one way or the other. On certain maps, the house and the gas station, she can escape within 2 minutes, bringing other Victims with her. I think a lot of people who are new to the game make things seem more fair, but a skilled Connie player will basically win 80% of their matches. If the Family lacks an intelligent Cook or Hitchhiker to slow down Connie's escape route the match is basically already over.

Better or worse than F13? I know they're both Gun but im wondering how much more different it is.

The game is better than Friday the 13th in some ways.

That being said, they sorta play alike in certain areas.

Basic rundown of Texas Chain Saw:
4 victims, 3 killers

characters have upgradeable unique skills

3 perk slots, perks are unlocked via skill tree. each perk has 3 tiers. upgrade by using them.

victims can carry 2 items
common items: antiseptic to heal wounds, bone shards to back stab killers/disarm traps/cut down noisemakers/kill chickens, lockpicking tool. There are a lot of locked doors. can also be used to rig lamps to explode and remove the panel off the fuse box.

attributes: toughness, endurance, strength, proficiency and stealth. each character has different base values but these can be tweaked by unlocking attribute points. a total of 31 (I think) extra points can be distributed. and you can reallocate them as much as you want.

escape: each map has several. can find parts like fuses and pressure valves that need to be placed to unlock an exit. the easiest exit I've found so far is one where you have to kick a generator that's powering an electrified piece of metal on the ground. power goes out then you need to unlock the gate leading to the electrified area. can be done in either order. I prefer to unlock the gate first then kick the gen until the power is out so I can run straight out and escape.

There is also the similar car battery-powered gate, usually on the opposite end of a given map from the generator. Unlike the generator the car battery starts being 'off', meaning it is a free escape if the Family member that spawns in the area doesn't turn it on.

If there is a Hitchhiker killer on the map they should turn it on and thrown down a bone trap, else they're not "doing their jobs".

I'm playing right now and really love how both sides have tools to help them escape. It's fun trying to see which exit you can go for and which area swamped with killers

Ah, I think I've seen that but never got the opportunity to escape that way. I played Hitchhiker once and spawned at the gen one and placed a trap on it. Then I trapped the two doors that lead to the area lol. I think we still only managed 2/4 kills. The map size is insane.

This has happened to me twice where like all the killers are on me, on one end of the map, and then I die and see someone leisurely unlocking an exit in a completely different area.

Remembering the map layout is bit of a pain in the ass in the basement. Just feels so cluttered sometimes. But otherwise I had fun playing it today.
