It bugged me when I watched Sesame Street as a child and it bugs me today when my two year old watches it. It would make sense if the other monsters were naked as well. But they seem to be very selective on who wears clothes. And yet Elmo has no awareness or insecurities about it.

They really furry looking things are like monsters. Elmo Cookie Monster the Guy in trash can. While the smooth characters are like ppl. Your Bert and Ernie. The female character...per cartoon rules they are more likely to wear something
