I did it when I was younger and absolutely hated it. So I'll never work fast food again. And at the point I'm at now, I doubt I'll ever be in a position where it would be the only position I could get.

If it was the ONLY job I could get, or ever get, I think I'd rather just be homeless and begging tbh. At least then I'd be free from a buncha bullshit. Maybe some locations are better than others but holy shit was that an awful damn job.

... They will. Full stop. Whatever it is you're doing here or trying to convince yourself or others of is false. You can get a fast food job. Everyone can. Adults. Kids. Adults that molested kids..

Like, literally everyone. That's their main "perk".

Given how many jobs Ive applied to that Im qualified for and heard nothing back, society has sent me the message loud and clear.

No, I mean my life itself has been an experience that taught me that lesson.

And its hard for employers to even know you have experience in their field when they arent even reading the resumes (software does it instead).

Probably. Point being cover letters should be abolished. I shouldnt have to dance to a tune, I shouldnt be having to sell myself you should be looking at my resume and thinking Im trying to hire someone, does this resume match that skill set? Enough of the bullshit theatre.

Cant argue with that. Im fortunate enough to be in a position where I dont have to apply for jobs anymore.

Im in the downward slope phase of life. I had a good job and fucked it up through my own shitty personality. And unrelated to that I now have a criminal record. Im 35 years old and its only downhill from there. One of several reasons I have no desire to live past 55-60.

A criminal record is hard to overcome in a lot of fields, but if you really have experience of having a good job you can probably get to at least that level again, unless your experience is working with kids or something.

The job was handed to me on one of the rare occasions that government-funded employment agencies actually got some fucking results (mass recruitment). It wasnt something I got myself via my own ability - I was just lucky.

Nowadays Im just back to drinking my remaining time away, waiting on whatever car accident or cancer does me in.

I sort of imagine places like Subways being the "best" fast food chain to work for, mostly because there's no drive through and there's no fryer for french fries/nuggets (so less risk of burn/injury).

But I have no idea what the pays/benefits are (or even if they're all that different for fast food places).

I would sooner perform sexual favors for cash behind the gas station than work a drive-thru again. And I literally still do food service.

I'm not too proud to fry chicken tendies for a living.

I'd try to get a job at Raising Cane's (especially since there's one like a block away from my house so I could walk or ride my bike there)
