The typical "exchange rate" that publishers operate under is that $69.99 USD games are $89.99 CAD.

I think these games that end up at the $93.49 price point are just publishers being lazy and letting Playstation handle pricing using PSN's internal exchange rate. Like as an example EA games are still being "properly" priced at $89.99 CAD on PSN but something like FF16 ended up at $93.49, despite physical copies being $89.99.

E: Spider-Man 2 is, hilariously, actually $89.99 digital so Playstation isn't even using their own internal exchange rate for their games lmao.

93.49 is such a weird price point. The normal "AAA" price game these days is, as said already, 89.99 or 79.99 if it's not like, the "AAA-est" AAA games. Though since the PS5/XBX came out the latter has been used less and less.

Definitely just a result of the BG3 people not paying attention to what the games actually cost here and just going with the lazy option. Or the malicious option. I imagine if the CDN dollar starts going up, that price isn't going to go down, even if the exchange rate is the excuse being used today.
