Games where you eat or absorb things that are smaller to grow, but if you try to eat something bigger you die or get hurt. The general premise is to get as big as possible.

Katamari damacy is one. I've seen some mobile games with this premise.

Half the reason Katamari is the way it is is because the developers wanted it to be un-categorizeable, so there might not even actually be a genre for this type of game :P
