Also, it sort of seems like they had already talked about this plan.

It's different to floating in the ocean though. They can't insta kill you in the car, there's a bit more protection.

The point is, it's a last resort. They were expecting no help. They were trapped in the mist. They were absolutely going to die one way or the other. They chose to do it on their terms. Why wait til the monsters come for them?

Yeah like did this guy not see what these fucking creatures were doing?

I saw the movie only recently. I know they discussed killing themselves a few hours earlier. It still seemed very sudden and the dude didn't even check to see if everyone still wanted to go through with it that way, or if maybe they wanted to say goodbye to each other first

The old man does give the nod, i think the old lady too. The orher lady gives him a eye, so I took that as a yes. The kid? I don't think so. So that is whats tragic. Everyone was ready but noone thought to ask the kid

I don't think the kid would be able to process what was going on so it's easier to just let him die without the stress of knowing. It's not like his vote would have counted for anything anyway. They believed they were super fucked regardless.

Yep, one of it's more graphic scenes in a very graphic movie. Both that and the sequel have some rather "creative" deaths.

Oh for anyone that wants to see it, Terrorfier 2 as well as 1 and the All Halloween something (first appearance of Art) is on Tubi. Which is free and it doesn't edit anything out.

I think its on Peacock and Hulu right now as well. But Tubi is free to watch.
