The procedure is super simple and straight forward so there's nothing really to worry about or prepare for. My biggest tip is to not sleep much the night before because you're supposed to go straight home and take a 6-8 hour "nap". You're definitely not going to want to be conscious immediately after so get some sleep aids.

Also, they will offer to get you, like, an ambien if you think you'll be anxious. I didn't do it but I could definitely see someone freaking out on the table. It's uh... a visceral experience.

Use vial eye drops for about 2 months before transitioning to bottled ones.

Hey I just got Lasik myself. It was easy, took like 10 minutes or less and I barely felt anything. It was far less painful than having cavities removed. The relaxant didn't really do much for me but the others in line were half asleep haha

I expected my eyes to hurt afterwards but it just causes a dry itchy feeling, which is what the drops are for. the hardest part is remembering not to rub your eyes when they're dry
