He was insanely easy to beat for any Mega Man standard and his stage gave you the dash boots freely so yeah of course

And then me, the idiot child, hated that the dash boots ruined mega man's look so I did his last, just so i could see how all the boss power colors looked on him properly

I do Chill Penguin first to get the dash, but then I go full agent of chaos and ignore the recommended order to knock out Storm Eagle and Launch Octopus

Who was that guy who refused to do anything but Launch Octopus first? IIRC, he even struggled with the intro stage.

I also liked going Storm Eagle second. Hes definitely beatable with just your mega buster. Plus Spark Mandrills stage is easier once you take out Eagle first

Honestly the game isnt fun without the dash so Im glad the sequels gave it to you at the start

TBQH I hate that the original game forced you to get the dash upgrade. At least in MHX you can do no-armor runs.

Pretty sure that's optimal for routing. Only stage you need to return to is Chill Penguin (use charged ice shot for Boomer Kuwanger's heart piece) and the Hadouken.

i thought the same too. And he is actually the easiest boss to beat with the standard weapon too, and if you beat him first it can have effects on flame mamooths stage

Depends how you want to look at it.

Flash Man if you want an easy win.
Quick Man if you want a boss that's actually weak against the buster.
Metal Man if you want a busted weapon that'll destroy 4/8 bosses.

I always found Sting Chameleon easy, plus theres a couple easy upgrades in the stage. So I usually went there after Chill.
