Oh yeah I had him standing in it, walking through it, every iteration. After the first smash he never went into that debuffs again even when he visually looked like he was in it.

That definitely sounds like a bug, he should go into it any turn where he touches lava

Also you can sometimes get away with repeatedly dropping the forge on him before he gets up from the last one, which I'm sure is a bug but is funny

I did that! It did not work lol. His debuff dissolved after the first hit.

Its not an issue. The voice in your head is really pushy about it, but its just bonus powers that you can get by without.

For anyone else stuck with playing on PS5 or voluntarily doing controller only:

If you have a chest/pouch inside your Traveler's Chest, and you open it, is there a way to close it without either backing out entirely or opening a pouch in your inventory and closing that?

Also I love that the "Equipment" filter in the trade menu is apparently limited to Torches, but it's fine in the inventory.

Huh, a bunch of Skills are just missing from the Proficiency menu in the Character Sheet.

Arcana, History, Religion, Investigation, Nature. All nowhere to be seen

Halfway through act 3 (I think), game is still fantastic.

I think your Charisma just raw effects prices?

There are certain situations where you can do something that will affect the shopkeepers opinion of you, but nothing consistently available for alll shops.

In Original Sin 2, you could increase a shopkeeper's affection for you by paying more than asking price. Not sure if that's still the case here.

The shopkeeper stuff is really badly implemented, but here's what I know

• Higher charisma will lower prices of items you buy and increase the amount you get for selling
• The character you talk to the vendor with is the charisma that affects your prices - you can switch do different characters inventory to sell from and it still uses the character you talked with. For me that's Wyll
• You can donate gold to the vendor to improve their attitude towards you. This is done in the barter screen by just dropping some gold in the trade window and completing the trade to give it to them for nothing in return. The amount approval changes by depends on the level of the character you did it with. At level 1, it costs 600 gold to max out and get the best discount. At higher levels, it goes up steeply and is never worth it. So the best time to do it is if you just respecced someone. You could use a level 1 party member that sticks around camp that you don't use, but the attitude only applies to the character that did the donation, so you'd have to talk to the vendor with that character. The max attitude bonus savings are pretty decent if you are buying items that cost thousands of gold. 600g could be worth it sometimes, but often isn't. It's never worth it at the higher level costs.
• It seems to reset this on attitude bonus on long rest. This might be a bug, it sounds like it should persist once you've improved relations with a certain vendor
• As another note, vendors reset their gold on level up. If you've brought a vendor down to zero gold, it will give them back a decent amount of gold. But also if you've sold a bunch of stuff to somebody and they have a ton of gold, that will disappear after you do a level up, so be careful if you were planning to sell a ton of stuff to that vendor and get it back.
• Also, as you get higher level, vendors will get new stuff, so it's worthwile to visit vendors and see if they have any cool new items that fit your builds that you'd like.

Is there any point to using Daggers over another Light/Finesse weapon (assuming proficiency of course)?

Not particularly, though options are generally limited for finesse+light weapons. The go-to finesse weapon is a rapier which has the biggest damage die (d8) but isn't light. Shortswords and scimitars are your other options for both, they use d6s. But those need martial proficiency.

However I think there's just more (and better) magical daggers with bonus stats and abilities which are way more important than the damage die.

No. Unless they have a good secondary effect they are almost always considered worse.

Finally started playing couch co-op with my partner last night. We were making our characters and the game crashed. Then it had to validate installation, so we didn't actually start playing at all.

Inventory management on controller is just kinda bad. You can't even open all inventories at once to manage like with m&kb.
