I liked Ultima 8.

Like ok it wasn't a great game but I had a lot of fun with it. I think a remake could be a good opportunity to fix a lot of issues.

  1. Increase the fov by a lot
  2. Get some interesting combat instead of a click fest
  3. Improvements to jumping.
  4. Remove the instant kill areas, just make them put you can to the last safe space minus a little health.
  5. Fix the mouse UX
I believe U8 Gold already restored most of the cut content from U8, but if there's anything left, restore all that too.

The reboot Saint's Row 2022. I think the game is utterly brilliant.

I liked the characters and a lot of the missions and the setting is pretty excellent.

But it delivers high stakes combat and heartbreak like no other game I've played.

While I definitely do still joke about the wacky plot, how many times leon randomly says "shit", and all the random action flick explosions I actually did enjoy this game's controls. Mercenaries was mad fun because of how mobile you can be in this game. I also liked the quickshot ability and how each character had a weapon that specializes in this. Leon's gun-fu, helena's hydra shotty and her rolling around, etc. Also the skill system was fun.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire was nowhere near as bad as everyone keeps saying. Same with MS Saga: A New Dawn. Fallout 4 is good for a run too.

Also Justice for All is a really good Phoenix Wright game.

Dragon Quarter was ahead of its time, and suffered the same issue Metal Gear Survive did. The name automatically doomed it.

I think if Dragon Quarter were released today it would get a lot more love since rougelites are now super popular.

  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
  • Wario World
  • Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 (My favorite in the series to this day for actually featuring strategy in its battle system, which says countrymiles when you're otherwise cheaply stocking up on SP-restoring items and blindly spamming the strongest attacks in later games)
  • Mario Party 9 (The vehicle mechanic was literally the only "problem" I had with the game. Outside of that, I enjoyed the mini games and modes)
  • New Super Mario Bros 2
  • Paper Mario: Sticker Star (I had little problems with its resource management system and I only had to look up a guide for the very few puzzles it stumped me with)
  • Mario Party 10
  • Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam
  • Paper Mario: Color Splash
  • Jump Force (One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is much closer to everything that "plagued" Jump Force, to be honest)

GTA 4- The flaws are exaggerated and it's the best of the series in terms of story, characters, atmosphere, and world building.

Fallout 4 - A step down for the most part from NV, but it's not as bad as people claim. The combat is better and the settlement building is cool.

Die Hard on the NES- While it's rough, it's a neat concept.

I honestly liked DMC: Devil May Cry.

Loved the antagonist's plan and actually seemed realistic. And even though Dante was utter cringe at times, the combat was really good.
