I just feel like I've seen everything and nothing really impresses or stands out to me anymore. When were the last real hype moments for it?

I think it died with its last showing on EVO main stage.
Not really a single hype moment, but Ryan LV getting that much mileage out of Chun Li was a cool final revelation.

No, the game never got a patch.
Astral Vision, Lightning Loops, Foot Dive, Hidden Missiles, XFactor Vergil and TAC Infinites have run the game for over a decade and will never be dethroned.

I still think UMvC3 is worth watching. All the bs that happens is what makes me watch it. Someone got 3-0'd by Zero Lightning Loops/MorriSpam/X-Factor 3 Devil Trigger Vergil? Tough luck, that's just how UMvC3 goes.

That's actually not true, it DID get one balancing patch at the start, then completely stopped after that. IIRC Phoenix and Sentinel both got massive nerfs.

Sentinel went down pretty fast because he used to have 1mil health or something.

All I could find was this patch for UMvC3.

Edit: As in, I dunno if there were more. I do remember the MvC3 Sentinel HP nerf patch, but this one for UMvC3 was something they did.

I don't think there's any real new meta, but a LOT of people signed up for UMvC3 at Evo this year so I think the matches will still be hype

it's dope when someone beats the bullshit though. jwong beating fchamp and chrisg in 2014 was so good.

Some of it was just really satisfying to watch in general.
I really liked watching KBR's Hulk/Haggar/Sentinel combos.
Good Chris Redfield play was great too.

I still watch from time to time, but usually only players I recognize. The game has run it course. Now it's like the same 4 or 6 teams.

Any Zero May Cry team isn't getting watch unless it's against a big name.

Yeah I played it for quite a bit when it came out and followed the scene, it was a blast

I've been keeping up with the game since it came out in 2011.

The meta hasn't really changed since it's last Evo showing like the one guy said. But if you enjoyed it then, you'll enjoy it now.

It's at Evo this year and has more entrants than any other game besides SF6 and Strive, so pretty much every player you liked is coming back.
