If I were to guess, the Original Trainer hunted for a shiny Impidimp that had a Calm nature and just used a mint to change its stats to something preferable. Mints don't physically change the nature of the pokemon, they just change stats to reflect a different nature. eg. giving it an Adamant mint will give it +Atk and -SpAtk, but its nature will still say calm. And this team is from the 2022 WC which would have been in gen 8, so terastilization isn't an option either. So if that's not it, then I guess it really it just for lowering confusion damage on the off-chance that Grimmsnarl got confused. Even with no investment, its Attack is still pretty high, but negative investment would at least counteract that a little bit. EDIT: Just thought of another thing.
