I liked Captain Marvel and Ms Marvel quite a bit, so i'll definitely watch this.

I know they want to get this in front of barbie but i was hoping for a loki s2 trailer instead as that is closer to release

I just have zero interest. Though that has been the case for me when it comes to the MCU for about 85% of the recent releases.

honestly i didn't have any interest but these trailers make it seem fun. i think it's gonna be pretty good, actually. glad to see a good mcu movie popping back up.

Looks like a bad comedy over anything to feel hyped about...should have set up Rouge but whatever.

I didnt like Captain Marvel very much and havent even watched the the Miss Marvel series, but this looks like it might be okay.

I could give fuck all about the CGI tbh. I mean the actual cinematography is so bad and boring. Just the most basic shots and lighting I've seen in any of these movies.

Will probably be better than the first one, but I'm not really feeling the premise laid out in the trailer. Seems unnecessarily gimmicky.

I suspect it's a lot like how people used to get excited for new comic books. It's fun to see where the characters go and how they further the overall story. Some are better than others, etc.

I see comments like this a lot, and I freely admit the movies aren't as good as they used to be, but like.. they're comic book movies. They were always just fun popcorn flicks, not exactly high art or anything. Someone that's enjoyed them up to this point isn't likely to give up on them entirely cause of a lull. A lot of people grew up watching early mcu like other generations did Disney Masterpiece movies.

A couple mediocre movies may be enough to turn jaded/cynical forum users off it forever but they're not exactly indicative of the whole. Clearly.

It looks like it'll be fine to me. I mainly want to see this one for Iman though.

I like Brie and Teyonah, but this looks a little weird so we'll see.

Actually excited to see this one as they're using already established characters. Ms. Marvel was good and I wanted more immediately after finishing it. Captain Marvel felt kind of meh to me but when I look back it really wasn't a bad movie.

I don't think the last bunch of MCU movies after Endgame were particularly bad but they were just a bunch of origin stories. We already went through that with Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, etc. When it all led up to infinity war, it was like finally seeing the end of a very long series that started back in like 2008 and took 10 years to tell the story. I feel like that was the major issue I had with Captain Marvel when it released. At that time, I didn't want a new origin story. Especially not one that took place in the past and had little to no relevance to the story of the infinity stones.

Now that the multiverse is being established, a second Eternals, a new Shang-Chi, The Marvels, can move past the origin stories of the characters and actually start building up to a greater overarching plot. That is something I do want to see now. I think Ms Marvel did it well because by making it a miniseries, they could create a more interesting dynamic from the characters and establish more of the story as it pertains to that specific character while at the same time keeping the overarching element presently running throughout the MCU.

I don't think the MCU is really struggling but it's in a lull state as people need to get hyped again for new characters but it's hard to get hyped when origin stories just feel played out.

Except for Ant Man. Nobody likes Ant Man.

eh, i'll watch it on Disney Plus. i'm pretty much done with paying to see Marvel movies at the theater at this point...

Yeah, some dude had a gimmick where he would dress up like a Dr. Doom style supervillain only he had a phallic-looking helmet and a very suggestive name.

The gimmick is fine, but unfortunately he only used it to complain about stuff like "feminization" of pop culture, SJWs, "forced diversity." You know, stuff like that.

The Quantum Entanglement angle looks fun and different. Quantumania should have leaned into the theme and done more stuff like that.
