I know I should not be thinking too much about that movie. But this is something that always bugged me. Like the viewer see him turning cartoon character. But do the people in the movie see that too?

yes, but it does make it seem more "normal" to the viewer as well, a psychic-field of some kind.

this is seen in the moments in which people start to become back-up dancers: the mask exudes a mind control field.

I get why you're asking though. Nobody really reacts to him going all Tex Avery at the table while Diaz's character is doing her number.

Being a mask expert he was probably in tuned with it, with our realizing it.

Yeah, that was dumb. It was something they tacked on for the movie, probably to explain the wacky antics people are capable of when wearing it. In the comics the mask is just a shamanic mask of African origin.
