Second to last episode. Pretty good show so far.

gonna blow through it all at once in a couple weeks or so.

Watching it now

I enjoyed it but wasnt anything spectacular.

I am hoping for some big master plan reveal next episode cause otherwise Fury seems very off.

Pretty good episode. Probably the most all-around solid of the D+ shows unless it really fucks up next episode.

They're going to need a mighty big swatter to take out a Super Skrull.

damn. i was excited for Olivia Colman coming in to the series, but in like 20 minutes of screen time Sonya's become a serious contender for favorite character in the entire franchise. though, sadly, probably in a less is more kind of way.

the Mason cameo was neat, as was the Veil. but all bringing that back right now does is add yet another way for people to not be who the seem to be. could be overkill. As for Mason, damn, what i would have given to see Melinda or Mack right there. not going to lie, though, i absolutely expected Maria Hill.

Another fine episode. "Its personal", is not an excuse to not call in super powered people against a world ending threat

Gravik wanting captain marvel powers is a good motive. Def cant afford him getting those but that is a good solution to the avengers problem if youre a skrull

Shotguns are great in this show.

Still wondering why they saved such a big event for a streaming series.

All of the comic events are in name only for the mcu. Theres similarities but difficult to adapt 1:1

Also i dont mnow how mass audiences would react to ".... was a skrull the whole time". Works for warmachine as he hasnt done much

Really? That's the justification for risking World War 3, Human extinction, and massive Skrull casualties... Because it's personal?

I mean, yeah, he's got some kind of plan in motion now, but the justification for him not calling for help is really weak.

So Nick, again, causes issues that he has to fix. Why the hell would he want to gather up a ton of Avengers DNA?? That just screams dangerous.

And how is it confined to one vial??

Nice to see that Finn survived and was doing well.

Solid set up episode for the last battle, but the "it's personal" excuse definitely was weak af.

And the whole Harvest thing seems too Batman for Fury.

Those guys jumping Gravik definitely caught me off guard. I was like "why is there a dude behind Gravik winding up a hammer swing?"

the worst part about "it's personal" is that they have another answer right there. and they could easily still use both.

but gravik's entire goal is to get super dna. that alone is a reason to keep the supers as far away from his group as possible. they got so close, but still somehow missed.

Guys guys, it's just a big dramatic contrivance to not have to spend the money to have an all-out Avengers Assemble against Super Skrulls spectacle of a blowout finale just for the final episode of streaming show.

In an alternate reality Disney might've put up the money required to make this story just like the comics just for a streaming show, but not in this reality, sadly. Maybe for a "What If" styled animated show.

They already spent 216 million on this show. Other shows bring in big name talent for appearances, MCU should have no excuses. Mind you I read a lot of it is reshoots because the original version had too many similarities to Russia-ukraine

Maybe we'll at least get War Machine if they can free the real Rhodey in time. At the very least it's gonna be Super Gravik vs Super Giah.

I mean... at this point, she kind of has to be the one to defeat him. Super-Skrull Gravik is so far out of Fury's league that it will look ridiculous if he's the one to score the win, whether it's his show or not.

Don't forget all the non-Avenger heroes who were at the scene -- Carol was already mentioned as a "donor". It was also already shown that Gravik had access to Groot's DNA, and he's a tree.

It's just a question of how many things can be passed down in that way. I doubt she'd be getting, say, magic from Doctor Strange's blood, or even Wanda's (unless they re-retcon her back into being a mutant). But someone like Drax is on the table, or even the effects of the Heart-Shaped Herb from T'challa.

It was specifically stated they got the DNA from the warzone after the big fight in Endgame. No one gave their permission to do so.
And it honestly kinda makes sense that Fury would do this. If he didn't do it, someone else looking to actually use the DNA like Gravik would have.

I figured the Harvest was done purely for Tahiti. So took place around Avengers 1. Fury didnt really seem involved with the Avengers again after that movie and especially after Winter Soldier.

Groot, Extremis, Cull Obsidian and Frost Beast all seem to have been collected outside of the Harvest.

Realistically it wouldn't be, but comic books play loose and fast with science, so...

I think that it is a poison designed to kill Skrulls, and Fury intends to pass it off as The Harvest.

Agreed. Its the weakest part of the show.

Still, its a decent show and the only one of the Disney+ Marvel shows that isnt bad.

They didn't miss it. Fury actually said he doesn't want the supers being copied a few episodes ago.

So there were about a million heroes and villains present to leave samples behind.

I think all villains were 100% dusted so nothing of them remains. They probably got cull obsidian fro. The first time he came to earth in new york and wong cut off his arm.

That makes no sense to me timing wise. If its referring to Infinity War battle then Fury got dusted and wasnt around so couldnt be then. Then if its the Endgame fight he immediately left for SABER. So he made the harvest, hide it, changed the hiding position and then immediately left and Gravik turned?

It isn't referring to the battle in Infinity War as most of the Avengers weren't on Earth during that battle. And Carol Danvers wasn't even a thing back then. It is referring to the Endgame fight 100%

when did captain marvel even bleed

my best guess is when thanos punched her with the power stone

but im pretty sure she was flung into orbit likely slamed into pluto leaving a deep crater (dont worry she made sure to fix the planet with astroids later im sure)

After the Endgame battle he stuck around for the funeral. Probably a couple of weeks. You see the Damage Control guys cleaning up the mess. He would've had to have gotten it before that point. Or even just used Talos in the Damage Control to grab the samples.

Also, while on Saber he still had Maria Hill, Soren, and Talos in Earth that could've hidden and moved it for him before he returned.

Edit: He also said he used his faceless friends to gather the Harvest. So he wouldn't even have to been on Earth at the time. "He" gathered it by ordering it be done.

If you want to get technical, "DNA" doesn't mean blood. It could be hair, sweat, or saliva if she or anybody else had to spit during the fight for any reason.

It's really not that complicated, y'all. This show established that Fury had a small force of covert Skrull operatives. He literally says they snuck into the clean-up crew and collected the samples.

Because Tahiti isn't a thing in the movies. They've never taking anything from Agents of SHIELD into account and they're not going to start doing so now.
And project Tahiti and the Harvest are 2 very different things. Tahiti was harvesting a Kree corpse in order to potentially revive an Avenger, it's sole purpose was medical. Harvest is about Fury potentially weaponizing Avenger DNA and/or preventing others from doing so.
