More along the lines of Jurassic Park style dinosaurs than the giant chickens.

Roaring beasts that love to fight and fuck shit up.

Dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures have always fascinated me. Just not as strongly as when I was a kid, but I still get a quick thrill when they discover a new one.

My first real obsession as a child was with dinosaurs. Jurassic Park was and still is my favorite movie, so yes, I still think they're darn cool!

I feel that if you grew up in the US, an interest or outright fascination with dinosaurs gripped you at some point in your life. The discussion and study of dinosaurs is one of very few scientific endeavors that has massively permeated the popular culture that's long defined the "national consciousness."

Dinosaurs are one of the most unique and interesting animals to walk(and fly) on this planet.

They were extremely well adapted (unfortunately the majority weren't well adapted for a giant asteroid strike) and today are the most varied group of land vertebrates on the planet.

Almost everything about them is cool.

Yes. I used to own an actual fucking hadrosaur (duckbill) egg. But like, just owning something like that stressed me out... even though I had it safely tucked away in a drawer, I was constantly paranoid that something was going to happen to damage it and I ended up selling it just to get the weight off my shoulders.

What if the person you sold it to destroyed it! It was safe in your hands and now its ruined!

Triceratops are one of the deadliest dinosaurs ever. They are basically the hippos of the dinosaur world in terms of being utterly misunderstood by the average person (in part due to things like Jurassic Park).

It happened on their watch, so it's on them. lol.

I know nothing of it and I'm content that way. The person who bought it from me was giddy to get it and sent me an email letting me know it reached its destination safely, so I assume they're taking good care of it.

I bought it from an American fossil dealer on ebay. I researched them and also did my research on the egg and what they're supposed to look like, the signs you usually see on fakes (not a good idea to buy Chinese), etc.

Of course, there's only so much certainty you can have with pictures and reputation and such, but I was certain when I saw it and touched it that it was real, which is why it stressed me out so much to have it in my possession. Lol.

It was my childhood dream to have one and I'm glad that I had that experience, but I'm equally glad that it's out of my hair now. I've got other fossils (ammonites and such) that don't stress me out because they're a lot more common and not as big of a deal as something like that. Not as fragile, either.
