We went to church every sunday, except my dad, but stopped around middle school cause no one cared.

My parents weren't religious or conservative at all. I was free to learn, experience and do things without them trying to control me.

Yes. One time I was pissing a ton of blood from what turned out to be a kidney stone and my stepdad said, maybe its the lord trying to scare you a little bit. Pretty sure I made a topic about it on here back then.

I feel like my family was a little weird with it. I went to Sunday school (not often, but just enough to make my confirmation) just because that's what you "did". Same as my sister. The weird part is that we're all atheists (or my mom was agnostic at the time maybe?). My mom and dad were both brought up Catholic for sure, but were never religious for as long as I know of.

My mom said it was "giving me the option to be religious if I wanted to", but it was pretty clear no one in my immediate family believed in a god anyway.

yeah supposedly men are less religious than women on avg. , wonder why?

went to church every sunday, catholic school etc.
then when i got older i found out my parents arent religious at all and it was just an image thing for them lol

Religious superficially when it benefitted them, secular when it came to moral responsibility and guidance

Somewhat. My dad wasn't about it and my mom was only a little bit about it since her parents were. Eventually, she grew out of that phase, thank goodness.

We went to church every week but they weren't at all strict about things like that. My dad was always a pot-smoking hippie and they're still very progressive even into their 70s.

oh, you're extremely religious?

I was, and look how I turned out.

Since my siblings and I were kids we went to Sunday school while the parents went to church. as soon as each kid made confirmation they pretty much stopped giving a damn or glad didnt have to go anymore. My mom was more religious but my dad didnt really care, as me and my siblings knew right from wrong, were good. Sometimes my mom tries to guilt trip us but it never works. Only go for baptisms and weddings.

My parents went to church and made me go through the beginning of elementary school but stopped because they eventually refused to continue paying any tithes to the church (Lutheran).

I don't recall ever once hearing my parents express an actual religious belief before or since.

Family Yes, household, not as much, though it was there.

A Roman Catholic Family, but not crazy ones.

My Great grandmothers home was exactly what you would expect.

My Second Cousin was a Priest.
