A 99% approval rating is nearly statistically impossible. Apple says it gets one every year.

A 99% approval rate is believable when your product is only purchased by people who are brainwashed into thinking your product is actually good. People who do not like Apple do not buy apple products (e.g I don't see the point in Apple existing and have never owned any of their products before.)

if you read the article, it goes on to suggest that the specific firm apple is hiring is the one doing the lying to them, or that apple may be using them specifically because they give them an inflated approval rating

it doesn't really have anything to do with the apple fanatics like that

If you weren't satisfied by the iphone 4, why would you buy 5 through 11 (or whatever they're up to now)

Apple has a history of calling something the next coming of Jesus when it isn't anything near close to that.
