yeah but after the fight the opponents are usually just kneeling down on one knee like they took a gut punch and not a bicycle to the face

didnt he shoot down a guys helicopter and it went up in a fiery explosion? i dont remember which game, its all a blur.

then i moved onto stronger and cheaper methods.

The car chases in 0 and 1/Kiwami 1, for starters. He for sure shot and exploded some people to death there. Also Ryuji (2/Kiwami 2 spoilers) if you want to count that. Sure he may have already been bleeding out from a couple gunshot wounds, but Kiryu beating the shit out of him surely didn't help his chances of survival.

i don't think i can count that, my man was ready to go and was already on his way, kiryu kinda just fulfilled his last wish.

same with like a dragon isshin, but you gut dudes and use a gun regularly

It was do dumb in Yakuza 0 where Majima yells "NOBODY LEAVES ALIVE" to the room full of goons after his waifu dies, and then in the next cutscene a guy is like "no majima if you kill this man you'll lose a part of you"

You could argue it's not *technically* killing someone, but when he uses that guy as a human shield in 1 at the Triad restaurant he's definitely morally culpable for that. The guys in the car chases all surely survive given how that universe works.

He most certainly gave people an excessive amount of life changing injuries if he hasn't actually killed anyone.

there's no doubt about that, cutscene kiryu alone probably ruined atleast 20 lives.

Word of God is that he's never killed anyone. It's a bit of a meme with some of the fanbase where those highway/chase scenes are simply answered with (Yakuza 4 spoilers kinda) "rubber highways" and "rubber explosions"

I liked the part in Kiwami 2 where he throws the Man in Black from a speeding truck and he gets run over, and somehow comes back for one more fight. I still want to know what that crazy fucker's deal was.

Idk if Kiryu in the story has killed people but me playing as Kiryu have definitely killed people in Yakuza 0
