The passengers then dropped to the water and were dragged by the inflated parasail across the water until they collided into a bridge. I didn't think anybody else knew about that. Well it wasn't just ignoring the storm warnings because another boat that decided to go out at the same time made it just fine. The stretch duck 7 in particular was modified to be longer just to hold more people but no reserve buoyancy was added, which makes it take longer for the boat to sink. There was a canopy added which not only took away from the stability of the vessel but the canopy was fixed, meaning even if people had on their life vests, The thing was a death trap once it capsized. If I recall correctly the engine wasn't even waterproof because it was going to be too much of a hassle to get to. The ducks in general had their splash guard removed which when in use in world war II, were used to divert wake. The wife died because she got slammed into a bridge. That's how strong the wind was. I could see it picking up a boat easily. Of course, cutting the line wasn't the right call. There's supposed to be a way to cut out the parachute.
