Wasn't Al Gore's depiction on South Park a response to his talking about global warming? The chuds making that show would've mocked it no matter what? Edit: yes, ManBearPig episode came out in 4/26/06 and was Al Gore's first depiction outside of a brief clip of him in the white house for a Clinton joke. This topic is making several logical leaps. It's assuming that if Al Gore hadn't made the movie An Inconvenient Truth, then someone else who is more charismatic would have made something else that got as much attention. I see no evidence of this. It could just as well have been no one would have raised awareness as much as him. Or maybe someone else like Michael Moore would have made a big documentary about global warming but it would have been obnoxious and/or filled with sloppy mistakes and misinformation. He made a positive difference in public awareness. To say that we'd have been better off if he'd just sat back and done nothing just because he's not the most charismatic guy in the world... that's ridiculous. --- And who are you, my little friend?
