It's kind of an odd duck. Not sure if I like it or not. It's quite charming but pretty shallow. The art style is good, but the animation itself is very choppy. Fight scenes are serviceable but nothing mind blowing. I remember when the trailer released that it was so anime, I could almost see Superman having a magical girl sequence...and then he just had a magical girl sequence. Kinda hope that's a one-off thing lol.

Having it so Clark knows nothing about his heritage, going so far as to have the Jor-El projection speak Kryptonese, is kind of intriguing. Given that he had a flash of Krypton when he tried to grab the power gem from Livewire, I imagine the weaponry she stole is Krypton-based. And that vision showed Krypton fighting some kind of battle which is a far cry from its usual fate.

I also don't hate Deathstroke the Twink. I imagine a lot of people will fucking hate it though; he's voiced by literally Jerry from Rick and Morty which is a far cry from Ron Perlman. Livewire as a first villain was a good shout. With just a quick look at her and her hairstyle, you know she became a criminal because she makes bad life choices.

Before they said her name, I figured Livewire was Mercy.

I'm surprised DC got off Batman's nuts enough to remember they have other characters but we'll see how long before they shove a Batman villain or worse force a crossover with Harley Quinn's show.

So far this seems like a kid's show, episode three would require a massive change in tone to crossover with HQ lol.

Deathstroke is kind of a Batman villain, I guess.

Most of the JLA has already appeared in HQ, including Supes, I think. A young new Supes would make no sense in context in her show.

The director even admitted that the sequence was inspired by Pretty Cure, with a specific mention of Cure Mermaid from Go Princess Precure.

Seems cool so far. As a reminder young justice started out nice n then got dark

Saw the first episode and it was pretty good. Love this version of Clark also as although he's kind, wholesome and timid he's not socially awkward or clumsy as those kinds are usually portrayed.

Lois is cute, high spirited, and full of energy, although Jimmy.....I'm not a fan of at all.

The action is a little choppy and I'm hoping it improves later. But so far I'm enjoying it. I really hope the animation improves though.

has potential I guess but I'm not loving it so far. Definitely needs to go the whole season to have a actual opinion on it.

Apparently they doubled up the initial order, so we're getting a season two regardless.

Saw some of ep2 through clips and wow, never seen a hero clean up a disaster after the fight.

Most others would have just left, which I was fully expecting him to do so kudos there.

Yeah, I had that thought too.

I was expecting the punchline to be that because he cleaned up, no one actually knew anything happened, so Perry didn't use the story lol.

I saw someone saying that it's a nice blend of the suits' two comic origins of it being from his ship and that his mom just made it for him.

I also saw someone joke that she took one look at her son's crotch and knew that the alien spandex was not hiding as much as it thought it was lol.

I'd put money on it being Lois' dad, General Sam Lane, who sometimes takes an antagonistic role with Superman. It would involve her more directly in the superhero part of the show and, well, he's Asian-looking.

My friend and I enjoyed it.

Yeah I heard a theory that things will be a bit different with this Krypton. Maybe pretty militaristic. There's some kind of secret they're keeping until later in the season.

Only watched 1st episode and it's decent.
Loving Lois's design here, but everyone acted like teenagers than young adults.

Finally watched it.

Third episode was also fine. Still not blown away. It's really weird that this is on [as] because so far it's very much more of a kid's show.

This is such a bizarre take on Superman and I'm loving it.

The anime style works for it as does the innocent nature of everything. I love that they are actually making Clark a mild-mannered guy who means well instead of a brooding loner. I also love that Clark and Lois' relationship is very clearly forming, showing them crushing on each other but neither having the guts to just ask the other one out.

I am also tired of these will they, won't they stories where one likes the other, and by the time the other one notices them back, one has either gotten a bf/gf, or a misunderstanding causes the whole thing to reset to status quo. We don't see that here. Clearly they like each other and we can see the show is leading us towards their eventual relationship.

I just think the show is very positive overall without being boring. And Clark actually stands up for himself. I love that he confronted Lois when she lied to him. He didn't just let her get away with it because she's cute.

The action scenes are pretty basic but I imagine they will get better as the season goes on. I also love that he's discovering his powers along the way. More fun that just having them all at the start.

Nah, looks dumb (like most Superman things) and is pretty blatantly being pushed onto Adult Swim by the parent company like that Gen Lock show that nobody cares about.

I think it's stupid how he's such a klutz and accidentally breaks an alarm clock, a water faucet, and a door in the first five minutes. He's had these powers since he was a kid. He would have figured it out by adulthood.

Imagine if any time you picked up a styrofoam cup you just "accidentally" crushed it. It's absurd.
