The next Studio Ghibli film drops next week and nothing is known about it. They just posted this on their Twitter which is leading some people to believe it's a sequel to Nausicaa.

It had an entire manga so who knows.

That would be awesome. I only saw the film this year and it is already one of my favourite films. I need to read the manga sometime.

Nausicaa comes out in theaters once again in July 9 and 11 in the states they always come out with a movie monthly though or ok this case 2 we also get Castle in the Sky this month

Isn't that the one that was horribly localized as Warriors of the Wind or something?

I think I've been on a Studio Ghibli kick, and Nausicaa is coming up.

It's a top five Studio Ghibli movie. It's probably the one that would lend itself best to a sequel. Maybe you could do a Kiki's Delivery Service sequel where she's a mother and her daughter is the new teen witch looking to find her place in the world. But I think people would prefer a Nausicaa sequel for the action -- even if that kinda goes against the themes of the film.

Mononoke Hime is probably my favorite of Studio Ghibli's films, but that one isn't meant to have a follow up.

True but the date on the picture is the same day their next movie comes out.

Yes but luckily destiny course corrected itself and we got a better version.

That was the first one I watched. My personal favorite is Whisper of the Heart.

Ghibli shouldn't make sequels. They kind of got away with it once, but it was a very tenuous connection so whatever. Their movies aren't suited for it.

Three more days.

Nausicaa is the greatest manga of all time.
