Huh, I never knew that was a thing. But all of my cars have had the gas cap on the driver side, so I've never had a problem remembering that lol

When you're pulling into a busy gas station, such as Sam's Club, it's far more convenient to just look at your gas gauge to remember which pump you should use than physically get out of your car or crane your neck in an attempt to physically see.

Seriously, why are people trying to act like this internal reminder is some ridiculous or bad thing? Lol it's super convenient and only serves to benefit you.

Yeah I didn't know how to tell where you can know where the gas cap is in the car right as you pull in the gas station until someone told this to me too. I thought people just guessed and were correct or something. But I did drive two cars I shared with family where the gas caps were on opposite sides so it was really useful to look at the gauges.

A counter to this is less manufactuers put it on the passenger side so those pumps tend to be least used. When I go to Sam's Club the lines with gas tanks on the left compared to the right is sometimes like a 5-7:2 ratio
