My only ones that broke were an original XBox and a 360. I gave it that second chance, but no more.

My SNES broke but at the time you could get a replacement motherboard for like $40 so I did that and fixed it. Last time I played it was around a year ago and it still worked.

Not sure about any of my other old consoles though. I rarely get them out to play and would rather just use an emulator on my PC

I got a Star Wars edition PSP. I have never really seen any Star Wars movies so didn't care about that at all but it was the only White PSP at the time and that looked so much better than the black.

Anyways I didn't play it too much but when I finally got a game I really wanted to play on it the screen just completely stopped working. Cost of repair was like damn near the cost of just buying a new one. So at that point the system was basically useless. I still have it. Looks pretty.

Also went through like 5 360's before they wouldn't take them anymore under the warranty.

My New Nintendo 3DS broke VERY quickly. Just wouldn't turn on. Nintendo replaced it for free. My 360 broke several times. The ol' 3 lights. The screen on my DS Lite cracked after putting it in my bag for one day. I think those are the only systems that I've had break in a way that's made them unusable. Although the DS Lite could still get on with GBA games since they only needed one screen xD

My PS3 slim had a disc loading issue. I had to lift the front of the console to get it to launch.

Pretty much it.

Droped my old gameboy as a child.

It was technically working, and you didn't encounter any problems with it.

Except that it deleted every single save game that was on the cartridge. Okay, it deleted my pokemon red save.

I went through multiple PS2s back in the day all due to the disc drive having problems

I also currently have a broken Xbox 360, which is also due to the disc drive going bad

My first handheld to "break" on me was my OG DS's L and R buttons. Mario Kart DS wore them out.

My OG 3DS's circle pad randomly ripped in the center and started to shred away. Oddly my N3DS never had this issue.

My N3DS is fine other than some weird peeling going on with the underside where the stylus/battery/SD card are. Might be hand oils not agreeing with the plastic.

Then on the console side of things:
My NES has typical NES problems. It sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.
My SNES occasionally won't boot a game and require powering off/back on again for it to read the cart.
My N64 has the same problem as the SNES.
My first GameCube's disc reader completely crapped out and I had to get the system replaced under warranty
My Wii's motherboard burned out the display out component and refused to output to any display. It would power on and even connect to wifi but that was it.

Only my OG DS, but that's because I brought it with me while we were biking down a mountain.

I barley knew how to ride a bike, and decided it was a good idea to race my friend, turned to late and flew about 20ft in the woods. DS was smashed, but I got it fixed.

Edit: My Vita actually just stopped charging.

Wore out the laser in my launch day Dreamcast within two years. Bought another right after they announced they were discontinuing the system.
Wore out the laser in my launch day PS2. Still at my parents house. Plan to replace the laser in it one day.
Xbox 360 RROD'd. Sent it to Microsoft for a free fix/replacement. The replacement still works.

I thought the charging port on my Vita was dying, but it actually just turned out all the micro-USB cables I had at the time were on their last legs. Been fine since I got new ones.

Also had a PS3 that YLOD'd. Got it repaired but it did it again a few months later, so got a new one.

Aside from those, nope; I've had cables or controllers break but not the actual systems.

My original PS1 (the spinner one day just came to pieces since that part is made out of flimsy plastic and a rubber band holding it together), my og xbox's dvd drive eventually died (a known issue with OG xboxs), my phat OG model PS3 twice via the ylod, my original 360 also about twice via the rrod, and my slim vita currently has a messed up lcd screen somehow.

Original 360 and PS3 models are both just the worse.

My PS2 died after 2 years. The replacement for it got that problem where if you use it as a DVD player it starts scratching your game discs (not sure if that was a myth but it does it) so I stopped using it.

My Nes, SNES, N64, Gamecube, and Switch still work as well as every iteration of the Gameboy including the original brick that I bought.

My Sega Genesis broke but I think from poor storage not really its fault. Dreamcast still works as well as Game Gear.

My PS3, PS4, and PS5 all work.

Pretty sure thats all I've ever owned.

My original Wii stopped reading discs except for gamecube discs. It seemed like the more complex the game, the more of a problem it was, because Smash Brawl was the hardest to get to work.

I had a game gear when I was little. My brother got mad and hit it out of my hands with a hammer and it stopped working.

I had no idea what I was doing, but after it broke I was fooling around with its insides. Just poking and prodding stuff, and I got it turn back on by pure accident. I got excited and ran to show my parents, and dad grabbed it and smashed it on the floor, stomped it, then kicked it across the room into the wall. There wasn't much left of it to try and fix after that.

My original Nintendo DS stopped working too. Gamefaqs was no help, calling me stupid for not charging it. Ended up sending it to Nintendo and got free replacement due to some manufacturing fault. Then a few years later the top screen of my replacement simply snapped off and slid under the couch. >_>

Oh, I forgot a PS Vita that got wet. I had it in sleep mode and went to town. Upon returning a nearby jar had tipped over and spilled. I picked it up and instinctively pressed the power button while it wet. Stupid on my part, but it just never worked again. Upon suggestions from users here I put it in rice, but it was no good

Went thru a PS2 fat and slim
RRoD on 20GB Xbox 360
Broken R triggers on 2 DS fats and 2 DSL's
Broken right hinge on 3DS XL
Joy con drift on Switch

These companies cheap out on parts and that's how they sell so many units at the end of their gens.
