I'm pretty sure The Saga of Tanya the Evil ended in WebNovel format, and if you hate yourself I remember sitting through the completed WN for Shield Hero. Including the revised ending because of how hated the original ending was. --- Others don't get to dictate what's normal and what isn't. I had a friend who was obsessed with Zero no Tsukaima in HS, can't vouch for it personally though. Re:Creators is a Reverse Isekai. Very good, but they rely on a literal exposition dump character to over explain the plot and it gets kind of annoying in the second half. Ascendance of a Bookworm is fantastic though it's not actually finished its on pace to get there last I checked. Though like others have said, most anime, especially Isekai, are adverts for their books. If you want to know the continued adventures you may want to pick up reading.
