Can be as much as a few hundred without any special equipment. If you're talking about getting a crane there? More than that probably.

I'm assuming you're talking about one that is already felled

Width/height? Around here $400 professionally for something 50+ foot, or a local hillbilly with a chainsaw for $100 if he can keep the wood.

I used to cut trees back in my early 20s during evenings and weekends after clocking out of my job (my real job) and my price would depend on the conditions of the tree and it's location.

Open field with no obstacles in the way for prepping? Even 450 Between 2 guys. 300 for me and 150 for my helper. Includes hauling the debris and clean-up. Usually lasts around 3-5 hours.

Stump grinding is a different beast altogether.

Where I live its thousands of dollars. I think we were quoted $6k to remove our oak tree. (We didnt remove it but not because of the cost. We just got it trimmed.)

we wanted one in our back yard removed in the old house and it was gonna be like $2500 because of how much of a pain it would be to get to it, how big it was, proximity to fence and power lines, etc

one in the front yard that wasnt near anything was only like $300

Where I'm at, then you can't touch it. You have to go through the city. Usually unless there's reason to cut it, they wont.

This was my experience. We had two big trees and their roots were destroying our driveway. The city said that we couldn't touch them and that they'd be out to cut them down within a year and a half. They eventually did. At least it didn't cost us anything and it's nice not having to clean up mountains of leaves in the Fall.
