TerraSeeker 06/16/23 11:12:50 AM #1:	I'm going to a concert in KC tonight. I've only really gone to 2 before and thought I should see some more bands live before I die. Unfortunately, I'm going by myself. I wondering how i can make the most it. Can I actually make friends there or make a girlfriend there? So just feel out the boundaries. Just get a beer and be cool. Do not wear open-toed footwear (you are going to get stepped on). Jungle boots or your second-tier sneakers are best. With that many bands, I assume this is a day-long outdoor festival, with food. But if indoors (with general admission): Prefer to minimize bathroom trips over hydration. Use sunscreen. Don't wear anything you care about. Bring ear plugs. Giant_Aspirin 06/16/23 12:24:02 PM #16:	bring earplugs. if you don't need them, no big deal. but if its super loud and you don't have them, it can suck. i go to shows by myself all the time, but i am never alone. if i feel like talking, i can chat with my neighbors and make friends. if i feel like being introverted, i can just sit and people watch until the show starts. alcohol at the show will be expensive as fuck. most places rely on metal detectors for security, which makes it trivially simple to sneak in booze or whatever else you might want to enjoy. bring your own water if the venue allows. lots of places allow for a factory sealed or empty bottle. for the shitty venues that prohibit empty bottles, i take an empty 500mL soft plastic one and put it in my back pocket and walk right in. never been hassled for it. --- I hope something good happens to you today Playing: Octopath Traveler 2 <cite>Giant_Aspirin posted [p:974198130] in How do you...
