There's some messiness to the story, but even on replaying it this year for the first time in over 15 years I still thought is was great. For the GBA games it's no FE8, but it's still solid!

We should look at what made those remakes not sell well. Is it simply because they were remakes, is it because of the story/characters, etc

I guess it's probably technically true over here but not to a meaningful degree.

Shadow Dragon sold like shit because the game is fucking ugly. That's why I didn't play it on release!

Well it's obvious that that the remakes are coming out in original release order. And the person who leaked the existence of Fire Emblem Engage said that a Genealogy of the Holy War remake was in development. Feels like we'll get that and Thracia before we get Roy's game.

Pray to God it's true since FE4 is exactly the type of game that needs a remake.

An incredible game that's absolutely terrible.

My favorite Fire Emblem game and it's a total shitshow.

The most cursed masterpiece.

Yeah, to get some characters you have to sacrifice your other characters. Every gaiden map is only unlocked if you have a small amount of characters at the time (except for the last one, which requires you to both have Tiki dead and the Falchion missed.)

It's not "the recruitment system". The game gives you pity characters at set points in the story if you've lost a certain number of units. Despite what people will say you don't have to interact with this system at all.
