What format are they, DVD, or BluRay, or both? How many streaming services are you signed up for? Do you prefer digital rental of films, or owning physical films?

Both. Too many to count right now. Hundreds will suffice for the moment. I much prefer to own my films, but I admit to being signed up for multiple streaming services and it cutting into how much I purchase these days.

Why did you ask how many twice?

Around 10 4K Blu-rays, 100 normal Blu-rays, 100 DVDs, and 50 VHS tapes. I don't use any streaming services and I'd much rather have a physical copy than stream it.

Dvds/Blu-rays: 36 horror movies alone in my personal collection, 20 other movies in my collection. Total between my collection and what me and my parents share is probably around 200+

VHS: 200ish.

I don't own any physical films.

I prefer owning physical copies of movies, digital is way too iffy.

Currently 1,677 Blu-rays, 430 of which are 4K.

About 100. They are stored in a tote in the basement.

This is why I don't own any.. they would just end up in storage.

Maybe 25 random DVDs from when I was younger, stored in a CD case/wallet

Maybe 200? Maybe a little more? Mostly DVD but maybe 20-30% are blueray/DVD combo packs.

Netflix Hulu and Disney+

I don't know exact numbers but at least many several hundred, maybe in the thousands.
Mostly DVD but also a hefty amount of VHS and Bluray and even some VCD (mostly Disney movies).
The rarest stuff I have are some films on actual film rolls you need a projector to show, mostly old cartoons with no audio.

But the rarest one of all is.... an HDDVD of Peter Jackson's King Kong!!
Which I've never watched as I've never had any type of HDDVD player available.

About 500 between DVD and BR

I've actually got four in my entertainment system, but not all are films. There's the High Jackman/Jake Gyllenhaal movie Prisoners, Planet Earth, Frozen World, and a 25ish hour WW2 documentary from the 70s called World at War. I haven't bought anymore since 2013 lol.

I actually have a bunch, probably around a few hundred but I bought most of them used at garage sales and such. They are all packed in boxes in my garage so I dont actually watch them. Streaming services have truly taken over.

Less than one hundred... And I've recently culled those down, too. I just don't watch movies that often.

Hundreds. Blockbuster had these 5 for $20 deals and I would stock up like crazy. Mainly dvds, solid amount of blu rays though.

100-200 mixed between DVD & BlueRay (mostly DVD). About 20 LaserDisks, and around that many VHS.

A few hundred, probably 75% DVD and 25% blu-ray.

I have about 100 anime VHS I have imported from Japan and I have about 15 golden age cartoons on film reels.

Maybe 5 if I really dig out of my closets for them. Buying movies always seemed pointless even in the 90s, because of how ubiquitous video rental stores were. And especially now when everything is just so easy to pirate or stream on some service or another.

I had probably around 100 DVDs when I used to collect them. They're still at my mom and dad's.

Pretty much became pointless after I started streaming, and I rarely re-watch movies or shows.

100-120 DVDs. All boxed up and nothing to play them on. I stream everything.

Im thinking of going down the Laserdisc rabbit hole, just for collection purposes. We used to have one as a kid. My parents were proto-weebs.

Somewhere around 20ish I think. Well dvds anyway. Some of those are box sets.

As a guy who has some LaserDiscs I'll just say that you have to worry about rot with them. And it's known that some movies are more susceptible to disc rot.

Yeah. Thats an unfortunate reality.

Luckily, a good majority of those series had updated releases on DVD and bluray, so they are not lost to time. (though there are a few that are stuck in that medium, which is unfortunate)

They would mostly be for collector purposes, so they would just chill on a rack looking pretty. Might get a deal or 2 on them if they are a lil rotted as well.
