I got past the first save point to the spot where they teach you how to you use your like charge abilities (Y on Xbox).

I basically have no souls-like experience at all, but I dug it. Not sure I want to play more of the demo, sort of want to wait for the real thing.

In the mean time I have DS1R, DS3, and whatever is on Game Pass (Wo Long). Maybe I should finally give one a try.

I got to what I think is the first boss of the demo. Got him halfway down on my first try. I never played a game like this so my boss strategy could use some help. About to fight him again.
Really digging the graphics and setting so far.

I'm not sure what you mean but when an enemies health bars flashing if you use a charge attack it sets them up to let you do a critical

Managed to pull it off. Hit a charged attack and a normal attack, it knocked him down and stunned him for a few seconds. Finally beat my first boss in a soulslike.

I liked it. I can take or leave Souls likes as I've never technically played any of the actual Souls games (have beaten Bloodborne and Sekiro tho)I have game pass so I'll definitely play the full thing in September I'm sure

It has interesting mechanics and a really cool premise, but I think being a soulslike to this degree will always overshadow it.

I enjoyed it, but I really think if it was its own thing it would be so much better. I want bloodborne 2 to be bloodborne 2 by fromsoftware, not this.

I'm shocked at how much I'm enjoying it. Yes, it's a huge ripoff of Bloodborne aesthetically, but it's got some Bioshock (or Atomic Heart for something more recent) to it in terms of enemy design. It's very polished. The combat reminds me of Thymesia (an underrated game btw) where they took Bloodborne's combat skeleton and altered things around to make it play faster while keeping the aggression cranked up. It's very good.

I agree. Still haven't finished Thymesia yet but its pretty good.
