Well I finished the event story quest. These mofos better get life for trying to shank my new Kirara waifu.

And nice to see Cyno can still be badass. Lately it seems like hes just been all about jokes and card games lol.

Nahida in TCG is absolutely not okay. Any team with pyro or electro in it just floods AoE piercing damage constantly.

I predict the tournament finalist will be either Nahida Burning (pyro resonance or swirl) or Nahida Quicken. There just isn't anything you can do to counter that setup.

I finally got the PSN account set up. It was such a headache, and I received 0 help from Mihoyo themselves. My PSN had briefly played it before I shuffled over to PC and started from there, and you can only link your PSN one from other platforms if you never played it before. Skip the link pop-up at the start or dip your pinkie toe into the game, you're SOL. :l

So I emailed MHY multiple times trying to get them to simply delete the damn account, and I kept getting automated and then a person-written response telling me how to unlink. It wasn't linked in the first place, I needed it completely wiped out. I see simple ways to delete and link accounts between the other non-PS platforms so I don't know if this is Sony being obnoxious and MHY has to comply or wtf

In the end I had to make a new email and a new PSN just to get a fresh start for this silly thing and finally managed to link them. It'll be a lot more comfortable playing now. I've gotten better with mobile but so many taps for my normal attack and jump inputs weren't read, and in combat I was constantly fighting with the camera so I could see what was going on.

Rant over, but man lol.

Funny you guys should mention it I just upgraded to the PS5 last week and my god the game is a ton smoother and the load times are pretty much instant.

oh man I bet the PS5 is a Genshin dream machine. imo PS is a pretty good port, only thing I can think of that's worse is the chat function, if you're the co-op type.

Got a pleasant surprise this morning when I helped Anna escort yet another balloon in Mondstadt this morning. Spoilers, in case:

As Im walking along, deleting hilis as usual, all of a sudden I get a voice line from Fischl, whos apparently chasing some Treasure Hoarders. After taking them out, not only did we get a Fischl sighting, but Benny showed up as well.
Caught me a bit by surprise, tbh. Nice to see playable NPCs added to dailies.

I can't remember what the daily was about but I remember getting one in Liyue that involved talking to Xingqiu

I know it can be confusing at first but if you use the underground teleporter it's right next to it. There are even ziplines by the teleporter. You can get there in less than 20 seconds IIRC. You don't have to use that above ground teleporter that's so far away like in the video.

that is a lot better than the route I did lol. I'll remember that for whenever I get that daily again.

This Abyss is interesting in that some of the regulars seem to think its a challenge but beatable, while others appear to have been completely walled by it.

To be clear, I still think the abyss sucks lol

Looks like I'll have to go back to the mines for a Gilded EM sands for Al. Apparently his weapon makes EM sands > ATK sands.

Nice QoL upgrade in the teapot I just noticed is that there's a search function available for when you're trying to craft an item. Unfortunately, there's no search function available in the Realm Depot as yet.

I dont even know wtf Im doing in there lol. I went in twice and got a fail both times due to my characters hitting like a wet napkin, but I still got all the rewards so Im totally confused.

Each challenge type comes with different rules, and the rewards are based on how many points you get rather than success/failure. They initially nerf your characters and depending on the challenge type you can power them up, summon more characters and/or place mechanicus towers by opening chests, killing enemies, completing challenges, etc.

Im glad one of us was paying attention to the tutorial.

But seriously, if this is how it works Ill likely just brute force my way through to get he rewards and move on.

Started at 33 rolls into pity or so (for Kirara on Yae).
40+ - Xiangling
50+ - Heizou
60+ - Heizou
70+ - Flute
80+ - Dehya (UGH) + Yaoyao

Thought I'd have to suffer through another 80 rolls, but NOPE!
10+ - Alhaitham + Favonius Spear

The 4* rolls were simply terrible as I would have liked to raise my C1 Yaoyao to C6, but oh well, at least I got the energy efficiency constellation for a very tiny insignificant bit of QoL. Dehya is completely useless to me too.
But getting Al at effectively 90 rolls into 50% pity is great.

Instantly maxed him and equipped average-ish artifacts, he's already dishing out huge numbers, quicken is so great on EM scalers. Gameplay is fun, but I just can't get myself to do the rotation correctly and keep screwing up the shard generation cooldowns. Would have been nice if the shard icons were embedded into the UI too (like 3 shards on HP bar), but oh well, I'll get it into my muscle memory eventually.

Im rolling for one more Heizou con on the Alhaitham banner. If he shows, he shows. Im on guarantee rn but it doesnt really matter because Im not saving for anyone in particular, I have a decent primo stash and I want Dehya to spook me just once anyway.

Yeah there's a slight learning curve to it but you'll get it. I usually just burst on swap then count the number of sword rains. After 2 of 'em I'll use his tap skill and it'll rain 1-2 more times, then use his CA for one more.

If his burst isn't up when I swap in I'll use his hold skill + plunge to get 2 sword rains. (Btw, after hold skill you can plunge immediately regardless of his height so you can aim the skill downward so he spends less time in the air.)

The Black Sword definitely helps but yeah I prefer using him onfield over someone squishy like Nahida. Getting hit can take away from his coordinated attack procs though so I prefer using him with Zhongli or someone else that can provide interrupt resistance.

Man, fuck this banner.

Threw 75 pulls at it for 1 fucking Heizou. Instead, I get 5 fucking Xianglings, three Yaoyaos that will permanently ride the bench and no fucking Heizous. Game couldnt even do me the courtesy of saddling me with an Alhaitham.
