Do you think by Alan Bragg going after Trump that this will rejuvenate his Presidential bid? And all the republican / swings voters will make a statement.

Im more worried about Trump facing more indictments and having to drop out and fascist Ron winning the election.

Trump would run from prison.

I mean it would be a really terrible thing for the world if it happens. But I'm not exactly losing sleep over it.

Repulicans aren't winning another Presidency for at least the next 3 elections.

It feels like an irrational fear at this point but we live in strange times. Definitely afraid of it.

Am I worried? A bit, because the possibility is always there, especially with the amount of gerrymandering and table tilting repubs have to do to even keep up in elections any more.

Do I think Trump will win in 2024? No. He's been soundly rejected three times (2016 popular vote, 2020 popular and electoral vote, 2022 midterm candidates he backed failed horribly). I look forward to him crying about the game being rigged yet again with absolutely no proof.

I don't believe he can win legitimately but depending on how SCOTUS decides Moore V Harper that might not matter.

I think it's possible for Trump to win but only if enough Democratic voters get complacent and don't bother voting.

This right here, people are acting like this is going to be a normal election where everyone follows the rules.. Republicans were testing the waters in 2020, this time I fully expect for them to cheat about 20x harder and to the point that they may ignore the results of the election, and with the support of the Supreme Court, they may actually get away with stealing the election this time. Of course once again for all their complaining about stealing elections, and that's exactly what they are going to try and do.

If "elections" happened in a vacuum of sorts where past legislation on a local level had 100% no impact in how election are run. Then sure.

Gerrymandering can affect the amounts of shenanigans that can occur, pass, on local level in terms of how elections are handled.

I'm just glad my parents stopped talking about him. Maybe that's a sign they're finally embarrassed to be supporters.

Polling places are dictated on the state level, thus gerrymandering means that Democrat favored locations can have polling places shut down/made inaccessible and thus remove votes from the effective pool.

Since his presidency began we've had people saying "this thing that's bad for Trump is actually good" and it's almost never the case.

Not worried because I already think Trump will be re-elected because he has more and bigger scandals that are keeping his name blasted on the airwaves 24/7

Here a simple one, guess who decides these things, then guess what gerrymandering affects.

The less readily available voting is, the less "voting" happens. And that effects outcome. And a depressed turn out benefits Republicans.

There is no "can". This is exactly what Texas Republicans do: Shut down polling locations in overwhelmingly blue districts to make voting harder for the left.

When you have no policies for non-bigoted people who don't support insurrections, some table tipping becomes necessary.

That's valid. I didn't think he had a shot but I remember so many people taking the "they're both evil af doesn't matter" approach to that election, or the "giant asteroid" as the movement became.
