"Hey!! What's taking so long?" Hey everyone, happy Superstars release day! Hope you're all enjoying the game. I'm breaking the months of silence to formally announce that the Sonic 111 project is not dead, and I've been chipping away at it almost daily-- but why the wait, then? I can point to three factors: 1) A slew of real-world hardships that I'd be wasting my breath to elaborate on 2) The scope of the project has expanded significantly since its announcement in May 3) Actually that's it really so I guess just two factors The second point is what really matters, of course. When I started the project, I didn't anticipate that there would be so much music to rank that I'd need to take out close to half a year just to get through it all. Just how much music are we talking, though? Well, as of posting this... https://i.imgur.com/DP6wiDh.gif (epilepsy warning? Probably) ...I've ranked just under 3200 songs. That is a shitload of songs, with more still to come. On top of that, I've gone to considerable (see: needless) lengths to make this experience immersive and even educational, including image and video elements created specifically for the project. There will be a few more major updates before we reach the finish line, but for now, here's a small preview for an interactive companion piece to the main ranking.
