Some friends finally got me to try Fortnite (Zero Build). I installed it, feeling confident I'd have it uninstalled again quickly due to it not being my thing at all...but it's fun. A lot of fun. I don't know who I am any more.

I must be one of only a select few people in the world whos never played Fortnite or PUBG.

Kind of surprised someone hasn't heard of Fortnite, I think it's the most popular battle royale at the moment and it's known for all those collabs and cringy dancing emotes of popular and/or meme songs. The main game has crafting buildings as part of the gameplay but all of that looks like a pain in the ass so I just use the no crafting, Zero Build mode. For example, limited time collabs right now are Attack on Titan and Star Wars. You can use the ODM gear or lightsabers to do a bunch of zany crap. Spider-Man web slingers are coming next week I think?

Oooooh that's right. It's the non mobile version of PUBG. I played that once. It was boring as shit. But glad people enjoy it.

Im in the same boat. I never thought i would enjoy Fortnite until my little cousin made me play it with him. Its actually quite fun.

Oh I don't, it's just a playful topic over the subject, I'm not actually beating myself up over a change of opinion haha. I really did crap on it prior to this though, I was so stubborn!

Right? Now I feel kind of sad about how much I missed out on, like the previous maps.

It's fine for a bit for what it is, but I can't see how people can play it for more than a season or two.

one thing that annoys me is they rotate the weapons a lot, so i'll get super attached to one specific weapon and poof it's gone next season lol

I can't play any game nonstop like some people do, especially live service ones. With Fortnite at least it's easy to casually play and you max out the battle pass absurdly fast. Other games want to have your nose to the grindstone for the entire season or whatever, so I do appreciate that aspect.

I wonder how often they repeat popular ones. Superman at least should come back, surely? I know Star Wars is a repeat and Spider-Man happened once already but I'm not sure what all is/will be different. There's a Doctor Who collab later this year I know I'm going to love.
