I have no idea why the fuck the Strarbucks near me has a car line out to the fucking road. I guess people love the sugar options.

The line at the place near me is always absurdly long. If I see more than 4 cars in a drive thru I'm not stopping.

Unless it's Chik fil a. There could be 30 cars in the drive thru and I'll still only wait 10 minutes max.

which would never happen because chik fil a service is absolutely goated. ive seen them plow through fat two-wide lines in seconds

This topic made me think of John Pinette and when he talked about how he goes to DD to get coffee so he has coffee to drink while waiting in line for Starbucks.

Yeah, people keep getting me Starbucks gift cards, so I'm like, I should stop there and use those... But the line is always so absurd I just say screw it lol

Its consistent and Id say pretty good at that. I just use the mobile app to order ahead and by the time I get there I just pick up the order and am out in like 30 seconds.

I work at Starbucks and if I want a basic coffee on my days off I go to McDonald's or Dunkin because it's cheaper and just as good. They're all arabica beans of different blends.

That's because Chick-fil-a actually has the staff to accommodate for their business. The way Starbucks staffs, they min-max to find the theoretical minimum number of baristas to hit 45 second drive times, with the best baristas in the business, and then try to cut on top of that. So if your store doesn't have the best baristas in the world or something minor goes wrong, drive times get impacted.

dunkins matcha doesnt taste like anything. when i get matcha stuff dunkins it taste like milky water i just paid $5 for

yeah when i worked there we were always pretty busy until noon, then it died off.

I WFH and sometimes will treat myself to some Starbucks on Fridays because I have a weekly meeting at 7am my time and get there around 6:30 but the line after 7am seems to be ridiculous. No way I'm waiting over 5-8 minutes for an overpriced coffee lol

They're terrible, entitled, selfish and ignorant people.
As stated, these people will spend fifteen minutes to do something that takes ten minutes at home. They're always in a rush like they're doctors or lawyers and will talk down to you like such, even if they're a stay at home parent.
God forbid they know what they're drinking but it's an extreme offense to forget their name and drink. they'll rush you to make basic coffee when it takes longer for them to say exactly what they want in it and then pay.
Seriously, Starbucks made people worse. Social Media perpetuates it even more.
Honestly though, what person exclusively drinks Starbucks? At a certain point, you should learn the skill yourself, especially if you expect a 16 year old to do it for you perfectly.

After 8am, the two starbucks near me still take 10+ minute for pickup, I have one up the road about 5 minutes and if I order and get there I've still had to wait an extra 5-10 minutes.

There were a dozen or so cars in line at the one I drove past this morning
