I've gone out for lunch with mine and lots of small talk. Let em borrow tools/ borrow tools from them.

God no. All my neighbors are elderly, crazy, and most likely conservative.

That's a perfect trifecta of "I don't want to associate with you."

Nope. I'm an introvert and I already interact with lots of people at work, plus my gf and personal friends. I have limits on social interaction, so also spending time with my neighbors world just be mentally exhausting

I'll say hi and stuff but not really.

One still has Trump yard signs in his yard including ones saying things like "Trump will win for a THIRD time." Also his Trump bumper stickers have tape over Mike Pence's name.

The other side is a lady whose facebook picture is an upside down american flag and it a christian fundie or something. I'm not FB friends with her but I see her all the time saying "Blame Joe Biden" to every comment in a county wide Facebook group.

I don't particularly like my neighbors.

Both of our nearest neighbors are acres away... but if my property cameras scattered all over my property pick up coyotes or odd vehicles heading into theirs then we'll call and inform them, and vice versa.

We're more of a 'head-nod', but first name basis. Bliss.

I dont really enjoy the small talk but I dont try to avoid anyone except for one guy who just never stops.

a little bit. we wave at each other, and one of them likes to sit out on her front porch and i stop to talk to her for a bit when she's out there. it's good to be friendly with the people you live next to.

We used to, but:

a) they turned out to be a bunch of MAGAts

and

b) one of their teenage sons was accused of shooting upskirt photos at the high school and his mom stopped talking to us when didn't immediately assume he was innocent

Yeah, white lefty neighbor to my left drives for boarshead, get mad bacon and stuff from him, my Asian neighbor to my right isnt affiliated with the right to my knowledge is so nice and we chat all the time, across the street two houses down the towns resident landscaper has a trump flag and has block parties that the whole neighborhood goes to and all the kids on the block play together, real sense of community regardless of anyones politics

Not at all, though right now I also don't have any neighbors. the apartment below me is getting renovated, and the apartment next to me has had eviction papers on the door for two weeks now.

It's a brand new community and we just got neighbors within like last 6 months, but no one (me included) has really been social in terms of trying to meet others.

I'd like to have a closer relationship with neighbors of possible. A king of the hill type thing

I'm a bit of a recluse so the opportunities for me to speak with my neighbours are few and far between. They're usually polite and friendly when we do encounter each other though, which is like... once a year on average.

I've talked to one of them for a few minutes, like four or five times, since I moved here in 2018 when we both happened to be in our drive ways. I don't remember her name, she's an older lady.

Not really beyond saying hi or commenting on the weather etc.

Although at my last place I was pretty good friends with my neighbour. I'd go over for beers pretty regularly and we'd go out golfing and shit like that.
