It's pretty underrated nowadays. It was big for its time,but you never really see it talked about like Cowboy Bebop or FMA.

I wish Future Diary would get some more love.

Its a better "babbys first edgy anime" than Elfen Lied. You get some real fucked up shit in there.

The show is really really good for the first five episodes and after that point I feel like it starts to muddy what was interesting about it at first

Im all finished and its still kinda not clear.

Everyones story is connected in some way. The original lil slugger was a scapegoat for the girl whos dog ran off and got bodied by a car because she had period cramps?
Half way in, i kinda figured that there was some mass hysteria going on or something. Lil slugger was what was blamed for some people killing each other after they mentally snapped. Like Simon in Session 9

If you're interested in the "legit" explanation, this is what I remember the idea being.

Lil Slugger is a tulpa. It's basically a manifestation of someone avoiding their responsibilities and trying to shift blame on something else. As his story gets more and more popular, more and more people start to think of him and he grows more and more powerful. That's why even though the kid that confessed isn't Lil Slugger, Lil Slugger starts to look like him after that gets added to his mythos.

Maromi and Lil Slugger are essentially the same thing. Rather than being blame, Maromi is escapism. That's why they fuse together.

Oh, and if you missed the idea with this one.

They all killed themselves at the beginning of the episode. The two guys died from the carbon monoxide poisoning. The little girl's cause of death was unknown, but she might have jumped from the bridge. That's why Lil Slugger flees from them: he can't do shit to them. That's why the girls freak out when the trio photobomb them: there are three people in the picture that weren't there.

The only animu tv shows I've ever seen are Monster, Hellsing and Paranoia Agent.

PA is easily the best of them. Only saw it because it's made by Satoshi Kon and I had a Koning time with it.

They could not think of a better way for her to have lost control of the dog. That was off putting. Like if you are walking your dog and your leg gives out on you and he runs into the road. It isn't your fault. It just something that happen. You can't control that. And she couldn't control her PMS. So it seems pretty odd to base a story about owning up to messing up on that .

You missed worked because you were in coma. You have to take reasonability for that.

I think that's kind of a running theme. The teacher can't help that she has a mental disorder. The kid can't help that people theorized he was Lil Slugger. I think the idea there isn't that she was avoiding her responsibility for killing the dog, it's that she was avoiding telling the truth about it. The teacher was avoiding telling her fiance about her alter ego. And the kid was a little asshole who was blaming that fat kid.
