Note: I don't currently own a Switch, so I wasn't going to buy it anyways, but I can play it at my brother's house.

I feel like I wouldn't be interested in spending all my time creating little thingamabobs. I mean this is why I've never bought Gary's Mod.
I mean it's possible that actually doing it will turn out to be more fun that I think it will be from watching others do it.
Other people seem to be enjoying it though, so that means its probably pretty fun in practice.

The strange thing about it is that the jank is what makes it fun.

Like there's a simple pleasure in making something really fucking shit and ugly but it gets the job done. I've been enjoying coming up with stupid over-engineered solutions to simple problems.

It reminded me of the classic joke where you call a cab, tell them to "follow that car" and they drive off without you.
I burst out laughing from that.

Unfortunately after trying to recreate it several times, either the intended effect occurs or something else went to shit in a less funny way.

It's more like an evolution of the physics puzzles in Half-Life 2 really. You're slapping things together to reach a goal.

I am not a person who typically enjoys building stuff in video games but I have been having fun with it in TOTK. It's very intuitive and simple to get results from the things that you're doing and if you want to just hurry along you can be pretty slapdash with what you're doing usually.

I'm having more fun with it than I thought I would, but I'm not really into spending loads of time on the building gimmick, and I'm still enjoying the game. The physics puzzles haven't been so bad yet.

honestly you don't even have to build that much to get through the game, i'm at like 14 hearts, master sword, hylian shield, 2 batterys, 2 stamina bars and i only use ultrahand when the game forces me to, which is usually just shrines

I had something like this except it sort of worked initially. Put the wing glider on a cart with wheels and used a fan to get it started, it flew for a bit but then nose dived into a cliff, so I bailed but it then managed to lift off again and went sailing off merrily into the distance, never to be seen again.

That was one of the many results from my attempts to replicate my build, except I also had two rockets on it. That's what made it more hilarious the first time, the damn thing BLASTED to the horizon.

yeah building weird ass things makes the game pretty fun
i wasnt huge on BOTW but i love this one so far
