The honest truth is you'd need a whole study in this and people don't want that.

That's why the right want to blame it on mental health and then make sure we don't look into mental health.

I dont really see it discussed often, honestly. Its like a fact everyone acknowledges is true and no one really knows why but everyone kind of knows its a big problem.

Problem is, people are afraid to say the truth about what the real reason most likely is.

That's because what's actually discussed often is that its usually a white male so there's usually race involved in that discussion lol

It might be because men's mental and emotional issues aren't taken as seriously sometimes or they were raised to think it's a sign of weakness to explore their feelings or speak to someone about them. This leads to feelings of isolation and feeling misunderstood and you will start blaming society for these issues.

This is just what I would say is one cause.

So just like women would never abuse someone, they would also never downplay that same abuse? The "women can do no wrong" approach is the very reason why abuse of men by women is not taken seriously. By putting the blame solely on men you're perpetuating the problem.

A lot of these mass shootings are unhinged young men (who are also usually white) who've been told that society is "for" them.

That builds up a sense of entitlement, so when they don't get what they feel they are "owed", they go on a rampage against society.

Women perpetuate toxic masculinity just as much, if not more, than men often times.

Otherwise the vast amount of boys raised by single mothers would show some resistance to the toxicity, but they dont.

I think boys not having support systems is the obvious answer. They are taught to not address their concerns. Girls will get sympathy faster and easier.

What *I* dont get is the racial aspect.

Maybe it's cause our sex is much more likely to commit violence on average

Yes. There's actually a great series on YouTube called the "Alt-Right Playbook" that touches on this subject a little.

They don't have any real healthy relationships in real-life, which makes them extremely vulnerable to toxic people on the internet, many of whom are actual Neo-Nazis and white supremacists convincing them to commit violent acts.

Males tend to bury years of issues deep, deep within due to lack of support and external mockery. So that when it finally erupts its been 'planned' and is like an old landmine going off taking random innocents out.

Not too many women are going to feel the need to overcompensate for having a small penis.

its not that simple. If it was, this issue would be solved by now.

Why males are more inclined than females was the question. And the core ingredient IS testosterone.
Obviously the crazy is the next factor but the testosterone is the base component.
That being said, testosterone is great.

Im sure there are deeper, sociocultural reasons stemming from the patriarchy fueling toxic masculinity and such, but a large part of the equation is just that men are more likely to own a gun in general, and much more likely to own the kind of gun commonly used in a mass shootings specifically, than women. AR-15 ownership is something like 80% men. Im sure with other AR-style brands/models the demographics are similar if not even more skewed in the direction of male ownership.

One of the hard things for male teenagers to control is the massive shots of testosterone they have. They have to learn to control it.

this doesnt explain at all why mass shootings have been on the rise significantly. Young men arent suddenly getting more testosterone. If anything they probably have lower testosterone levels since kids now dont exercise as much and eat like shit, which are two know factors that affect testosterone.
