Any of you all suffer from it?
I used to use that ailment to get my medical card back in the day. Now I actually have it and it blows.

What do you guys do to manage it? I was good for a long while, seeing the chiropractor every couple months or so, but now it's acting up again.

I like aspercreme quite a bit but that's not something I would want to take for a long period.

not chronic back pain, only incidental back pain from bad exercising...

I'd advise against chiropractic since they are crazy people, just go to a regular doctor... they can actually find the source of the back pain and recommend proper physio-therapy.

Chiropractic is based in religion, about restoring a body's "vital energy"

There's tons of videos (Jeff Holiday/Miles Power) on how Chiropractic is a scam

Chiropractors are closer to masseuses than doctors. They can make you feel better for a while by straightening things out, but there are very few problems they actually solve. If you go to one consistently (like they want you to do) they can keep you straightened out a good percentage of the time, which has some value, but it's similar to how getting a massage regularly would keep you feeling good.

And then to add to that: almost all of them are convinced that they are accomplishing more than they are...and many/most add in a lot of pseudoscientific nonsense as well. Most problematically they aren't bound by the Hioppocratic oath so "do no harm" isn't hard cooked into what they do (especially the pseudoscience-prone ones). The overall package isn't worth it for most people, I say, although they do enough good in some situations that they can/should exist.

That's what I'm leaning towards. It has helped, I'm just trying to stay open

I get lower back pain sometimes. Not so much the spine but the muscles. I use thc lotion on it before hockey and after squats at the gym and that helps tremendously

I fucked my back up in a rollover in Iraq. Ive mainly just been living with it since I dont have a terribly physical job anymore, but the older I get the more I need to do something about it. When I was still working for the railroad all the engineers swore by having a good chiropractor, so Ill probably look into that.

I wish I could give you an acupuncture treatment. For acupuncture, the most common problem people come for is low back pain.

think your main issue is going to a chiropractor rather than an actual doctor who can actually do something other than crack your back.

I did see doctors for a while there. I've been prescribed muscle relaxers by one of them and that didn't help.
I've had x rays and ct scans cause i also have gallbladder issues. Basically, i have a slight curve to my spine, but that doesn't seem to fix everything or be the constant problem either.
chiro is just the latest thing to provide me relief and it really worked in the beginning there. A lot of times it seems to help, but it doesn't always fix it.

A chiro will never "fix" it. They provide temporary relief with joint and muscle manipulation. They will never cure or fix your problem and sometimes they can make it worse or permanently disable you.

So we're just stuck with debilitating back pain?
Last year i missed more work combined than ever before from my back pain. I had to have a cane for a like a week.

I often have to take time off work due to my condition in general because it makes it hard to stay upright. But luckily I work from home now so I can lay in bed and work.

Sciatic pain sucks. Its literally a pain in the ass that shoots down one leg and then comes back up and goes down the other side more than half the time.
