It's kind of ridiculous they even had to deliberate. They're a terrorist group and they were blatantly involved. They deserve to rot in prison.

Apparently it might be a partial verdict. They may have not been able to come to agreement on one or more charges.

It's always important to deliberate, at least if you want to live in a free society.

If it's not fully guilty the jury got it wrong and the ones who voted in favor of the proud boys need to have their names and faces plastered everywhere.

My guy, the only thing you're even aware of for this case is that they're Proud Boys and they were at 1/6. Fascists are the ones who presume guilt on every imaginable charge. Stop acting like a fascist.

Proper due process being followed helps solidify the trial verdict as well. Defense attorneys will find any technicality to appeal in attempt to get stuff overturned.

"Juries should take the time to deliberate" is not defending terrorists and this is such a disingenuous take that you should feel bad.

We aren't talking about due process. Due process has been done.

We're talking about a few problem jurors wavering over putting away people when the answer is blatantly obvious.

Obvious yes, but the evidence presented during the trial is what the jury has to decide on. We all know they're guilty of the charges in question, but the question is whether the DoJ did a good enough job of presenting the evidence during the trial.

There have been at least a few people involved in January 6th who got off on very light charges because the DoJ wasn't aware they went into the capitol until shortly before or after the trial.

If you're taking several days to decide whether you should convict a group that was known as a terrorist group WELL before they stormed the capitol, you are doing something wrong. Full stop. There's nothing complicated about this.

Honestly, it doesn't matter. They're guilty, we know it, convict them. It's really simple.

This isn't a case for partial verdicts.

Should known gang members be treated the same way?

The Jury can use whatever knowledge they like. It's not like their decision making will be questioned. Jury nullification happens all the time, this wouldn't really be different.

If you have someone that is known far and wide to be an active gang member, with clear video of them committing a violent crime, and clear proof of them being involved in planning it? Then yes, I absolutely agree with putting them away quickly. This isn't the gotcha you think.
