It's kind of ridiculous they even had to deliberate. They're a terrorist group and they were blatantly involved. They deserve to rot in prison.

It's always important to deliberate, at least if you want to live in a free society.

Apparently it might be a partial verdict. They may have not been able to come to agreement on one or more charges.

If it's not fully guilty the jury got it wrong and the ones who voted in favor of the proud boys need to have their names and faces plastered everywhere.

My guy, the only thing you're even aware of for this case is that they're Proud Boys and they were at 1/6. Fascists are the ones who presume guilt on every imaginable charge. Stop acting like a fascist.

Can always retry on hung charges.

Even coming to an agreement on one charge will likely mean serious jail time for these chuds.

I'm aware of the fact that they were factually involved, I'm aware of the fact that they're a terrorist organization, and I'm aware of the fact that they have no place in society and if these jurors don't lock them up then justice has not been served.

I'm also aware of the fact that anyone that would call me a facist for pointing out these facts and their logical conclusion is at best a bad faith poster and at worst a facist themselves.

So I guess we'll hear the verdicts for the agreed upon charges and then the jury will continue deliberating on the rest.

Proper due process being followed helps solidify the trial verdict as well. Defense attorneys will find any technicality to appeal in attempt to get stuff overturned.

"Juries should take the time to deliberate" is not defending terrorists and this is such a disingenuous take that you should feel bad.

Even if the facts of the case feel obvious, this is an incredibly complicated case with five defendants, 5 legal teams and different facts of the case applying to each. That takes time to sort through. It's okay that it is taking time. Juries shouldn't ever feel rushed.

But I get it, you are Joyrock. You've spent decades on this site being perpetually angry, combative and single-mindedly stubborn on like every issue. And despite continually telling yourself and everyone that you are gonna get better, you never do. So just keep on screaming into the void about how right you are.

We aren't talking about due process. Due process has been done.

We're talking about a few problem jurors wavering over putting away people when the answer is blatantly obvious.

If you're taking several days to decide whether you should convict a group that was known as a terrorist group WELL before they stormed the capitol, you are doing something wrong. Full stop. There's nothing complicated about this.

Obvious yes, but the evidence presented during the trial is what the jury has to decide on. We all know they're guilty of the charges in question, but the question is whether the DoJ did a good enough job of presenting the evidence during the trial.

There have been at least a few people involved in January 6th who got very light charges because the DoJ wasn't aware they went into the capitol until shortly before or after the trial.

Part of due process means the jury can only consider the evidence presented during trial, though.

The Jury can use whatever knowledge they like. It's not like their decision making will be questioned. Jury nullification happens all the time, this wouldn't really be different.

If you have someone that is known far and wide to be an active gang member, with clear video of them committing a violent crime, and clear proof of them being involved in planning it? Then yes, I absolutely agree with putting them away quickly. This isn't the gotcha you think.
