Buddy, I think swarming the Capitol building is basically fine. I just don't think white supremacists should be the ones leading that crowd.

It'd definitely make more notice them. I am glad they dont however. They are a terrible blight on people in a vulnerable position as it is however.

Also, how do you feel about the suffragette movement, or slaves that rose up and killed slave owners? Should both groups have quietly and politely asked the rich white landowners for rights instead?

I'm all for targeted protests. Burn the fucking courthouse down for all I care(with no occupants obviously). But fuck people who want to block off roadways for people just trying to live their lives. You're not winning support or votes in that manner.

The potential of hindering the route of emergency services alone earns those shitheads a big fuck you from me.

Yeah! Principles matter a lot more to me than tactics. You don't get mad that the other side in a war also has soldiers, you get mad at the cause they're fighting for.

I don't support Trump anymore, either. One of the major turning points was Jan 6th, which was a violent riot that began as a protest. It was carried out by a bunch of people who thought their cause was worth getting violent over. They were wrong, and they all deserve to be punished for what they did in service of their "cause."

So there are valid reasons for putting limitations on what is and isn't allowed during protests.

No, I'm not saying that the people blocking traffic are as bad as Jan 6th. Jan 6th was on another level of bad.

But protesters shouldn't be allowed to do whatever they want to do just because they believe it's the only way to get what they want.

No one who thinks like this was ever going to support the cause in the first place. There's not a single thing anyone who agrees with me could do that would make me reconsider my beliefs. I believe them because they are right, not because they are beliefs held by the least annoying and disruptive group. It's not on the same level, but it's like saying you'd give up video games if gamers blocked traffic.

I mean, if I was there, I'd be protesting as I see fit and they wouldn't do shit about it. And this is going to be the same for the current protesters. If anything, I hope they escalate it to French levels.

I'm just hoping the elections today utterly decimate the Tories, despite their open attempt to rig it.

Id say the not blocking traffic and airports is a safety concern so it makes sense to me.
