Just take long as fuck at moving, spinning carts around slowly, standing in front of one spot forever

Costco is a fucking nightmare lol. People are completely oblivious to their surroundings so I just get in and out as fast as I can without making eye contact with or talking to anybody.

Some middle aged dude grabbed a drink sample in front of me and started walking one direction and then without looking back or saying a word, immediately turns back around, takes a step, and runs into my cart spilling that sample over his shirt, and then said some words to me in some rando language. Old me would've said sorry but I just kept going completely ignoring him because I'm tired of this shit every single time I step inside that store.

Funniest encounter though was a black lady literally yelling at people to stop standing in the middle of the aisle like they're braindead

Today a saw new shitty behavior. Dude in front of me in the checkout had maybe two bags worth of shit in his cart. He checks outs picks up his bags and just leaves his cart at the end of the checkout with no place to put mine. Who the fuck does that?

Sound like me if I'm not in a hurry, but I'm aware of my surroundings unless a banger shows up on the playlist

Dude, I don't see how people "shop" at a grocery store. You eat the same meals all week every week. Just learn where your shit is, get it and get out.

Sounds like Cart Narc needs to start filming inside.

Just the simple act of keeping your cart towards the side of the aisle so people can get by while you are deciding is all I ask, but I can never get it. Yes I can ask for them to move but also why can't people have just the slightest amount of consideration for others?

*goes to the ice cream aisle, walks back and forth for 10 minutes looking at different flavors, and then just gets vanilla like always*

The worse is when they're at the checkout, but then they have to go get one more thing to buy.

And they come back with a single soda can or some shit.

I just can't understand how people spend their own time, gas, and money to not even have so much as a clue as to it what is they even want while they are there.

When i worked grocery i would always wonder why it took so long for people to decide easy shit like what soda they want to drink.

Like, you were standing in that same spot for 10 minutes and all you got was a Sprite?

My favorite is going down an aisle and there are 2 people in the same spot but opposite sides just taking up the whole aisle. Just absolutely no sense of awareness.

People are fucking dumb

I never go to Costco unless I am just looking to kill a few hours. I never buy anything.. just load a few random things into a shopping cart, leave it sideways in an aisle to obstruct it, and then head back out for another cart to repeat the process.

The look on peoples faces when they come to an aisle blocked by carts is worth it every time.

on anther note i purposefully stand up close and behind the person or their cart i wanna pass if they're obviously obstructing the whole aisle. the shock or realization of seeing my face/body along with a somewhat leering glance if they're particularly obnoxious does its part in helping them to mind their surroundings the next time.

One of the weirdest parts about a place like Costco is seeing groups of people, like family field trips.

The Dad, Mom, kids, grandparents, and maybe an aunt & uncle. And then they come across another family they know and just stand around and talk, blocking the middle of an aisle.

And the look on other customers faces as they try to make their way through is funny. They dont want to be rude to the group being rude.

Here people spend a half hour deciding on yoghurt

The majority of this topic takes grocery shopping way too seriously.

I prefer to go during off peak hours so I can meander about and take my time. I hate feeling like I'm driving in Mumbai when there are too many aggro people.

I've started noticing all the 70+ people at grocery stores just STARING at things for minutes. There was a man by the Frozen Oven/Microwave battered fish and he was staring at these boxes looking for something specific and after like 3 minutes he's like "Hah found it, there it is".
