There was a Nascar race won by a dude named Brandon. They were interviewing him as the crowd was chanting "fuck Joe Biden" and the reporter tried to play it off as them saying, "Let's go, Brandon!"

It gives them the ability to provide updates without having to write up and publish a whole article first.

This of course is a double-edged sword that also helps facilitate the spread of misinformation.

Because he's an Independent Journalist he's allowed the liberty of being honest about Trump, unlike the mainstream media which helps spread the right-wing narrative and normalizes their insanity as "just politics as usual, nothing unusual to see here" while they actively work towards stripping us of our rights and marginalize certain groups out of society via legislation & persecution. If you notice when he's roasting Trump it's usually because he's reporting on something Trump is doing or has done. I've seen non-Trump posts & stories from Rupar as well, it's just during the Trump years those were the most popular for obvious reasons, which is when his name rose to what it is.

Brian Tyler Cohen is another example of this, who is also famous for roasting Trump on Twitter by calling him out in a way the typical media wouldn't.

Well, when I hear that term I think more of people who are constantly going to various comments/threads to troll or engage in fights because that's what they enjoy dedicating hours of their life every day to as a means to validate their existence.

For someone like Rupar or Cohen, at least they have a journalistic reason for being there, unlike the dudes wearing a cap & sunglasses in their truck with 3 American flags in their name who make 40+ posts a day about how evil & nefarious Dems are based off nothing but right-wing propaganda & indoctrination. Those are an example of the people I would consider "terminally-twitter".

To go a little further, before Dark Brandon, the right had already been doing the "Dark MAGA" thing. Essentially as a threat that regular MAGA was too soft, and they were about to get more dangerous

So the left decided to lean into the "Lets go Brandon" meme and combined it with the "Dark Maga" as a way to mock the right.
