Not even 35, and there's always something. An itch here, a small pain there, a weird looking spot over there. And these appear and dissapear every week, it seems. How do people survive aging?

You just learn to live with it. You go from not giving a fuck to giving all kinds of fucks but at the same time realize that things are going to happen regardless. I take my health more seriously now at 37 than I did at 27. I'm in the process of losing weight, which isn't easy when your not used to exercising. You also learn that the world is a harsh place that doesn't give a damn if your healthy or sick and can't be bothered to use logic when determining logical things.

I gained 50 lbs during Covid and I am struggling so hard to get back to my good habits. I got really depressed at that time

I gained 30 lbs during my first stint at college thinking I was eating healthy food. Turns out the college was using salt on everything, hence why it tasted so good. Even when I was eating soups and wraps I was gaining weight. Wasn't fun. I'm now just shy of 280. I was at 265, but I had issues with my movement so I put on a few lbs. Now waiting for my cousin to reopen his home gym so I can get back down.

eating meat and booze makes u fat. not salt.

salt makes you slightly bloated, sometimes, but you process salt quickly

u NEED salt to live. gatorade, for example, has salt in it.

I'm joining a gym tomorrow to get back in shape. Fortunately I only gained 10 lbs during the pandemic and it could've been a lot worse considering all of da alcohol involved

Stomach fat is annoying. Went from intentionally eating anything I wanted as a teenager and still not being able to gain a pound for football, to this at 34

People joke about how it's all downhill after 30, but it really depends on how much you exercise and eat right. If you spent most of your life sitting down and eating crap, of course things will start to fall off after 30.

The thing is, you can control it, but the muscles and the brain will still gradually decline, you can just make decisions to make it less bad

Exercise daily and try to consume good food (minimal amount of sugar, etc).

Drink water.. sweat. Repeat. Find and surround yourself with things you love but..

I'm 40 and I still don't get it when I see people say this kinda stuff. We'll all see ourselves falling apart eventually but either a giant amount of people are psychosomatic or they just need to do more physical stuff.

I'm not gonna say beer is helpful but I agree with this sentiment and also like beer.

Also I know you huke and get put and about a lot and to me thats key. Not necessarily hiking or exploring but just being outside or being physically active.

Nature is definitely helpful too though.

Yeah I started having neck and back issues in my 20s, pretty much downhill ever since (40 now). For no particular reason and after no extensive treatment, my mostly constant and nagging neck pain is significantly less frequent but my formerly rare back pain is much more common. I dunno man.

Ive actually started having memory problems over the last year or so and that concerns me more, but I dont want to spend a fortune and use up PTO getting a bunch of tests, so >_>

Im a single dude living on my own with shitty insurance. Im legit terrified of going to the doctor because not only can I not afford anything crazy, I cant afford to be out of work for extended periods of time.

S*** sucks.
