I'm on the last one and these jetpack boys are no joke.

I remember thinking at the time that it was a bizarre difficulty spike after how easy the main game was.

This is a big reason I often find myself not enjoying DLC after the fact. Not only are they generally less intricate (often padded with repetition to make up for the short story), but by the time I play I'm already way rusty and the difficulty is tuned for "So you beat the main game, how about THIS!?" never factoring in that you probably haven't touched the game in at least half a year.

I beat the DLC on Ultimate difficulty but I really just wound up cheesing the more difficult fights.

Screwball is an obnoxious ass sore, but I am glad her gadget challenges taught me to use those things. I'm not sure I ever realized how good they were in the main game, but I might just be forgetting what I did five years ago.

It's kind of hilarious that Peter just refuses to open doors. In one of these criminal base missions, you pull an entire subway car out of a hole in the wall only to walk through it and see the door to the room to your left.

I haven't done the DLC but in general I found the combat outside of bosses extremely easy

But there is an enemy in the DLC with a minigun and I think you just cannot dodge through it.

No it is supposed to, that's kind of the whole point.
I'm not sure if it works exactly like this but I think if you use the camera you can still fire off a web gadget, can you web impact them or whatever it is?
Enivroment (the 1l and r1 on like sewer grates) moves seem to make you invulnerable so you could try those
you could try the instant finishing too with triangle and circle

I'd say it's a little unrealistic that this David character was offered a visa employment so quickly, but American schools would probably love to hire an ex-paramilitary mercenary who's already survived one school shooting.

They're immune to most of the webbing, but I can't remember if I've actually tried the impact one. The electric web and antigrav trap are the only gadgets I've really seen be effective on them.

That does work on them, but it requires two bars of focus.

The minigun brutes aren't the most difficult enemy in the DLC (those fucking jetpacks), but they are by far the most annoying. They block your attacks, they can't be webbed, and their gunfire can't be dodged. It fucks up the flow of combat so hard because they break the rules the rest of the game follows.

You're spiderman, I spent a lot of early on battles on the hardest difficulty literally just going from one end of the area to another picking off one enemy or two at a time when I had a fresh build

Finished it. Very glad I did not spend $25 on them lol. Fun enough though. The decisions they made with Hammerhead were certainly a choice, but I guess that is the easiest way to turn a villain whose only notable trait is having a hard head into a boss for a game like this.

Started up Miles Morales and the recap video uses the new Peter face. I hate it.

Fuck those screwball challenges. Hated it in the main game, cant believe they make you do 3 more sets of those challenges in the DLCs and if i remember correctly, you need to do them to get all the trophies.

I didn't find the Screwball challenges that bad honestly, but I didn't bother going for gold. The trophies only want you to get silver.

But I loathed the Taskmaster challenges in the base game and I did try to get gold for those, so I understand the struggle. At least he doesn't constantly talk.

I seem to remember a lot of rocket launcher dudes too.

It just didn't feel like it had a fun flow.

There were indeed a fuckload of rocket launcher dudes, but I didn't know that was different from the main game.

I remember the DLC being a little tough but no real biggie. You play Morales yet? I like the snow in that one.

Just started it. I'm paused on the cutscene where he gets home now.

I like the Venom Punch, though that's kind of awkward with the news about the sequel lol.
