Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary Retro Collection is in development, its been announced.
Limited Run Games will be leading the way on the release which will include various versions of the classic and beloved Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues games. Also teased is exclusive, limited-edition Jurassic Park merchandise inspired by the titles that both gamers and Jurassic Park fans can get excited about.

Limited Run Games posted a teaser image attached above that would seem to suggest that the collection will include the NES, SNES, and Game Boy versions of Jurassic Park as well as Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues for the SNES and Game Boy. They originally launched in 1993 and 1994 respectively.
Unfortunately, we dont have anything else to go on currently but its very likely that Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary Retro Collection will be on Switch. Limited Run Games will be sharing more details during its LRG3 digital event in June.

I was disappointed enough when I rented these.

That's nice. I pretty much already own most of those games. I guess it will be nice to be able to play SNES Jurassic Park with a save feature?

What I'd really like is to bring the Sega arcade shooter home. I know you can't replicate the jeep, but it would still be fun just the same.

Evolution 1 and 2 are what I always wanted. To be Hammond and build Jurassic Park.
The only other JP game to even attempt that I think was like a GBC game or something.

Indeed, it was one of my favorites as a kid, honestly one of my favorite platformers on the gameboy tbh

I thought the second one on SNES was a decent side scrolling shooter. Granted, I played it as a kid, so maybe it sucked.

The Lost World on PS1 is absolutely painful to play normally thanks to the ridiculous difficulty of the game but with cheat codes you can skip playing as a Compy for several hours and play as a raptor or T-Rex immediately before those sections are also ruined by high difficulty and cheap design.

Guess this is another Monkey's Paw wish: Actually acknowledge those games but no Genesis version.

I loved the SNES one as a kid. But never could beat it because of the lack of a save feature. Not even a password system. I don't know what they were thinking. Also that game had a few bugs that you could encounter that would prevent you from beating it from what I remember.

I wish someone would port the Sega arcade rail shooter. That game was wild. You sat in the jeep and the seats shook and moved as you made your way through the levels.

My local arcade only had the freestanding cabinet. The jeep one sounds awesome.

I had the Gameboy JP game as a kid and could never get past the part where the T-Rex is attacking you and Lex. Didn't understand what I was supposed to do there at all.

There's been a few JP arcade games over the years. This is the one from '94.

At best those games were just okay. I haven't heard anyone talk about them in 30 years. I don't really know why they think the audience for this will be worth the manufacturing costs.

That's LRG's gimmick. Supposedly, Switch carts are manufactured in batches of a thousand, and all they have to do is round up after preorders.

Hold a few for the rare defective return, then sell the leftovers on Amazon.

This year is the 30th anniversary of the first Jurassic Park movie.

I have a strange connection to the first SNES game where I know it's mediocre with an unforgivable fetchquest structure but every now and then I'll play it anyway.

Everything else sucked and maybe 5 people remember it fondly enough to buy this so idk why bother with an overpriced af collection.

Its possible it can pull off what the aladdin and lion collection did and have the other console versions added on as a expansion. (That one launched without the SNES version of aladdin. It got the SNES version and both the SNES and genesis version of the jungle book later on).

My young reflexes at the time meant that I only ever got to the dino stampede part before losing all my lives

I want a port of Lost World arcade, that game was fun as hell. I loved the enclosed sit down cabinet, it had a see thru back so others could watch you play.

The new jurassic park arcade from Raw Thrills sucks because it's just another generic rail shooter with the JP tag.

Lost World is probably the best JP arcade game.

I loved both genesis games and the sega cd game. (Yeah, I thought it was rad) Didnt spend much time with the Nintendo ones. I remember the first person parts in the snes one.

Funny thing about that LRG video is I actually had time to watch a bit and man, their business tactics are mindblowingly more manipulative and deceptive than any questionably anti-consumer action Sony and Microsoft have done. At least they're providing us games at discounts without saying their stocks are "limited like Nintendo typically does.
