hes rumored to be in talks for a role in chloe zhaos dracula. if he were to become the titular character that would mean hes had three prominent roles in which his character has an association with bats.

not entirely sure but they are vampires and as we all know, vampires usually have a tie to bats.

Neither his Batman nor his Bruce Wayne really connected for me. Right now, he's my least-favorite live-action movie Batman.

Hey, he's already playing Dracula. If we've learned anything, the jump from vampire to Batman is a thing.

For all of the flack Superman Lives got, that costume doesn't seem *that* bad.

Val Kilmer is absolutely a weirder casting for Batman than Pattinson. Even Clooney is kind of more "this guy is insanely popular we'd be crazy not to put him in the suit" rather than being a good Batman.

The rules for vampires vary so much from series to series. I mean, in Bram Stokers Dracula, Dracula couldn't even die when exposed to sunlight. Much like the average 4channer going outside for the first time in months, he was weakened, but not exactly killed, plus he could shape shift into a variety of animals such as a rat (not too cool) or a wolf (super cool). He wasn't limited to bats.

I think it was mostly still pictures of the translucent iridescent one and his hair that bothered people the most. But to be fair to him that was just a costume fitting, and odds are he would have styled his hair differently for the film, and they'd have picked a suit that didn't look like total ass for the final product.

Though I also think most of the fear was because Burton was directing (aka the guy who made Batman goth and who proudly boasted that he'd never read a comic book), and Nicolas Cage (insane man that he is) was playing Superman. Though even that was overhyped. And honestly, Nicolas Cage is a pretty good actor when he actually tries - we just mostly remember him from when he was deliberately playing crazy (Shia LeBeef also sort of fits into this category, and arguably maybe even Prince William Freshington Smith).

Pretty sure he read The Killing Joke and several others before making it?

But yeah, until then, he wasn't a big comic fan... and yet the Burton Batman films turned out pretty well.

Yeah, Lord of War and Matchstick Men were pretty solid performances. And, with the exception of some irredeemable films, even when he's been goofy, Nic Cage is fun.

Shia LaDoof I've never liked nor been impressed by.

Will Smith is very good at playing Will Smith. He's kinda spotty at other stuff.

I always felt Kilmer was a decent Batman, but a meh Bruce. Clooney was a decent Bruce but a meh Batman (because Clooney definitely had the 'rich guy swagger' down).

I've always thought that Keaton was a good Bruce but a poor Batman, Kilmer was a good Batman but a poor Bruce, and Clooney was terrible at both.

But to some extent we also have to blame the writing and directing. Actors can only give so much, and even fantastic actors will be mostly shit if they're being given shit to work with (see also the Star Wars Prequels).
