i sometimes crave the chuck e cheese pizzas lol

but yeah i used to go there a lot as a kid when i lived in southern cali for a few years

I am so old the last time I went there it was called "Pizza Time"

The animatronics playing the Beatles were the shit.

CEC didn't come to my town until I was a late teenager. I only went to one once as a kid for a friend's birthday party and it was way out of town. Had my B-day parties at the local arcade in the mall. It's surprisingly still there last I've been.

I remember being scared of the animatronics as a kid. Well ok maybe not full on scared, but i remember thinking they felt creepy to watch and was always happy when my parents let me run off to the arcade area. The stage itself was this kind of dimly lit stone brick thing that I think was trying to imitate an alleyway, and that matched with the weird robot moves of the animatronics made me really dislike it. I can see why FNAF took off at first with some older people lol

The album parodies are awesome too. Those are seriously underappreciated, I've never heard anyone even mention them before

Back in the mid 80s, Bakersfield had a "Chuck E Cheese" and "Showbiz Pizza" that were in the same strip mall. You could cross the parking lot to get from one to the other.

I only ever went there maybe once my whole childhood. I think maybe I've only been there total possibly twice. Once as a kid and I think I was there with my family as a teen or early 20s maybe. I do remember that their pizza sucks.

I've only been to Chuck E. Cheese maybe like less than a handful of times. I want to say I had a birthday party there, but I think I'm remembering wrong and it was probably for someone else's birthday.

But all I remember is that it wasn't nearly as fun or entertaining as they made it seem in the commercials. I think I was more of a Peter Piper Pizza kid myself.

Showbiz was always better anyway. The one I went to semi-regularly had a weird strobe room, Baby Pac-Man, and full-ass sports bar off to the side. Also that old Atari firetruck game.

The whole place was dimly lit back then, that full day lighting just ruins the ambiance you know?

Also all the games were lame redemption games. Yeah, there were always some of those but they had a ton of real games back in the day.

I think the chuck e I went to as a kid was a lot like this in some ways, the album covers and all were really a trip.. but mine was even weirder. Like purple felt walls in the stage area, little tunnels where kids could crawl behind the stage... lots of wood paneling. I guess this one must have been a 90's chuck e cheese or late 80's while my memories are early 80's chuck e...

Geesh, I remember that Noah's arc arcade game. It was a single screen and you had to grab two of each animal and return them to the arc before the water reached the top of the screen. The unicorn was worth a lot of bonus points, but it disappeared almost as soon as it appeared.

It sounds like you went to an old 80s style Chuck E Cheese because the crawl spaces were also during that era. I don't think it went completely under the stage because that's where the servos for the animatronics were, but it did lead out from underneath the side of the stage.

Never went to a Chuck E. Cheese.

We had something similar in Hong Kong called "Whimsy," though.
